Is Whitman a Good School?

<p>I have heard very mixed things.</p>

<p>Yes, it's considered a good liberal arts college in a rural setting of the state of Washington. A friend's son is there & was given an unexpected merit scholarship. He's happy there.</p>

<p>It's not bad. Not the greatest, not the worst...</p>

<p>Whitman is consistently rated among the best colleges in the country.</p>

<p>Whitman is an excellent school...more like Grinnell than, say, Carleton.</p>

<p>It is in a more rural area, so it depends on what your view is on a LAC. I looked at it, but I wanted to get out of the Pacific Northwest, so I applied to Grinnell.</p>
