I'm pretty sure someone else posted this before... But I can't find it...

But is your SAT score a good indicator of your PSAT score? Because I really never take a practice PSAT (it's just a SAT shorter version) so I usually take SAT.

And I got a pretty decent score (1960). ANd I was jsut wondering if it directly correlates. Like I heard SAT is harder than the PSAT. And it's longer.

YEAH. sorry for repeated questions.. Really sorry.

Eh, it’s kind of random. My PSATs were 205 and 207. My SATs have all been over 2210 (but I did study for every time I’ve taken the SAT/a practice test, and I didn’t study for either of my PSAT sittings, for both of which I was younger… so that probably evens out). But I know someone who got 215 on PSAT and 2030 on SAT, so I guess it can go either way.

I’m one of the strange people that had the equivalent score on both. I didn’t really study for the SAT, I only took it to confirm my PSAT for NMS. My ACT, that I worked harder on, is a 34.

Contrary to what many CCers have said, I think the SAT is less stressful. PSAT is “once” while SAT can be retaken to perform better or even superscore. Yes, the SAT is extremely long, but with 2 spoons of Nutella, I can go through the entire SAT section with no problem.

144PSAT (Soph year) -> 172 PSAT (Junior year) -> 2100 (June 2011) -> Hoping for a 2250 this November

Anything is possible. There’s no need for a tutor IMO. Best way to prepare is by doing as many practice tests as possible (Did at least 25 before I got the 2100)
