Issues with report card and quarter grades.

Present Cornellians:

Were you guys requested to send in the quarter grades for Early Decision? If so, when did Cornell request it? (i.e. November? December?)

I was not requested to, but I sent anyway. Why are you asking? Did they ask or do you want to send them unsolicited? There is nothing damaging about sending supplemental, non-redundant material that supports your cause.

i don't mean to hijack this but i have a relevant concern.

i can turn in first quarter grades unsolicited between the application deadline and the admissions decision? I didn't know that... i thought they only wanted a midyear report when first semester was over?

i'm wondering because i'm having one of my best quarters in high school with the most ap's ive taken.... should i or not?

An admissions officer told me that they don't want to you to send in first quarter grades unless asked.

What do people here think the date would be when I can feel safe that Cornell isn't going to ask for my first quarter grades if it hasn't yet? Dec. 1?

probably around then.

IF I were you, I'd definitely send in anything you think helps you, like good 1st quarter grades. The worst that will happen is that it will be ignored & the best is it will be considered & help you.

exactly what i was trying to say...thanks for spelling it out HImom! :)

I am worried because I do not exactly have the quarter grades that I had hoped for. But does Cornell request quarter grades before Thanksgiving? Sparticus, if you could give me some facts and dates, I would greatly appreciate it.

Facts and dates on what?

When does Cornell request for quarter grades for Early Decision.

It's an individual and private process, it's not an official part of the application process that every applicant might be subjected to.

What is it in particular you want to know.
