Cornell and 1st quarter grades

Cornell hasn't asked me for my 1st quarter grades yet....what is that supposed to mean? wouldn't they have asked me already b/c 1st quarters usually end in the beginning of november

they didn't ask me either.. I'm sure my counselor sent them

I don't think Cornell wants 1st quarter grades.. on its application packet it specifically asks you to send Mid-Year reports when the grades for the first semester/trimester are available.. I might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure you're not required to send 1st quarter grades.

I got an email telling me to send them. It's prob because in the past I've had a decent gpa with honors and a few ap's , but this year im taking 6, so they were interested to see how im doing.

Hmm.. Who here has heard absolutely NOTHING from Cornell so far? (e-mails, phone, etc)

I DONT!!!! well actually just the phone call for the alumni meeting but that's it....is it bad that i havent gotten emails or anything asking for senior year Q1 grades....is that bad or good?? i dont know...omg this is really frustrating!!!!

I've only been contacted by a student who goes to Cornell and the alumni interviewer. Anyway, about the 1st q grades, they are not required....but u do have the option of sending them if u did well. Sending them now is too late...Cornell's probably made their decision already.

wow I never knew we had the option to send first quarter grades, i thought it was only first semester and only if you have been accepted or deferred, i wish they would make that more obvious, or is it an unwritten thing, i would have liked to have sent my grades

Well I had called them up long ago and the lady on the other end sounded like she didn't know what I was talking about. She said nothing is required of first quarter grades. So I'm guessing it's not taken into consideration

I recieved an email mandating that I send 1st quarter grades.

that could have been a good sign doug, meaning they thought you were borderline, i hope they liked your grades

I never got anything about first marking period grades. I don't think the guidance department sent any. Does this mean I wasn't borderline?

Everybody, please state which college you are applying to, and whether you either sent 1st marking period grades, or if Cornell asked you for them, or if you haven't heard anything.

Engineering; I haven't heard anything.

CALS: didnt send grades b/c i didn't do that well and cornell didn't ask...i havent heard from cornell at all

Engineering...haven't heard anything either...i figured we just send our mid-year report if accepted/deferred

engineering, cornell requested my 1st quarter grades.

engineering, haven't heard anything from them about first-quarter grades

hum ec...cornell didnt ask but i sent them anyway...and they counted them as my mid- year report

they didn't request first-quarter grade from me....is that an omen?

Daisy -

I sent my grades too but the "mid-year report" box isn't checked off. Does this mean they never received it?
