so i realize that it is already July... but I still dont know where i want to go to school.. i HAVE to choose really really soon... so i was wondering what you guys thought.
ok so my options are Cornell (im in engineering but i can transfer out if i want to) and Rutgers Pharmacy program.

I ultimately want to go into medicine so if i do go to Rutgers im probably going to take the MCAT after 2 years then drop out if i do well... if i dont do so well im going to stay in pharmacy... with Cornell i can stay in engineering or transfer and change my major if needed

so what where should i go...Cornell or Rutgers Pharmacy???

I would go to Cornell.

Cornell

but, I dont know much about Rutger's pharmacy program

Wherever you would be more happy. Don't just go to Cornell because it is more prestigious, there are many brilliant students that go to Rutgers.

I don't know that a pharmacy program is the best option for an aspiring med student. I have heard from several people that med schools frown upon programs that are meant to push you into a different career (such as nursing, PT, etc...)

cornell.

Don't know too much about Rutgers Pharmacy, although I do know that Rutgers is not a bad school at all.

Cornell Engineering, on the other hand, is one of the best in its field. Like you pointed out you could transfer out of engineering so you have huge flexibility in determining what you really want to do.

Just note that CU Engineering tends to have lower GPAs (mean GPA for many intro courses are 2.8 or so... but it's also important to note that many idiots are in these intro courses with you). So if you want to go to medical school, you're probably gonna have to work harder at CU Engr, plus the extra work just because you're in CU Engr.

If money isn't an issue, I'd recommend Cornell due to their superior resources, faculty, etc. etc. Don't go if you are deathly allergic to cold weather or refuse to go over high bridges.

if money is an issue, go to rutgers. if u like rutgers campus better, go to rutgers. otherwise, choose cornell. u can always go to a prestigious grad school. undergrad won't matter that much. my friend is going to be a veterinarian and was faced with the same choice, rutgers or cornell. in the end, she chose rutgers because it's close to home and cornell grad school doesn't give preference to those who went there for undergrad.
