And I will chance you back if you want to!

500+ visits to this thread, please tell me what you think, don’t be shy!

Good stats+ decent ec’s + URM–> In at all schools but Cornell, Harvard, Stanford, Duke, Dartmouth. Cornell, Duke, Dartmouth are high match-low reach, Harvard and Stanford are reaches.

Thank you Bil, hopefully i’ll get into one of my reaches :)

I think you’re in everywhere. Stanford and Harvard are reaches for everybody though. If you can pay full freight for all your schools you’re for sure in everywhere because they love int’l applicants that don’t need aid. Except Stanford and Harvard you are a very good shot for because of your credentials. I wouldn’t be worried just apply and hope for the best. You’ll get in to a multitude of those Universities.

chance me back bud?
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1443464-chance-me-emory-rd-ill-chance-back.html

Hey kurzick, thank you for posting. Unfortunately i can’t pay full freight, in fact i need a full ride (annual income< 6k).I’ll try not to worry, hopefully you are right :). Of course, i’ll chance you back right now.

Marcelo I think you are in a good position to be accpted by one of your reaches. I would pick a school and do early decision there. You have to convince that school you would be a “perfect fit” So do some seroius research and don’t just rely on the school’s reputation or “brand”. Make sure your LOR writers know exactly why you prefer this school as well so they can support the “perfect fit” aspect. Also make sure that your transcript is explained (translated perhaps) so that it can be properly understood by the schools. Good luck!

Thank you very much Keesh.

You’re taking the act in December? But you already applied for the 2013-2014 school year?

okokokok, i’m sorry i forgot to erase that part when i copied the info from my last thread, my act score is 34 :)

You’re into to Emory, Middlebury, Vassar, Colgate, Trinity College, Colby College, Wesleyan University, St. Lawrence , Tulane, Gettysburg

Low reach: Cornell, Duke
Reach: Stanford, Harvard, Dartmouth

Any other opinion?

It all looks good except for the international part. Sorry but that’s just the way it is. But somewhere there’s likely a college for you. I’d stay away from the top 20 schools because they’re flooded with international applicants. Concentrate on a big state university that is likely to give a scholarship. Check out Arizona State. I’ve read they have a large hispanic scholarship program (Hopefully it extends to international)

Thank you very much sosomenza.
