My son petitioned Kelley because he did not apply by the November 1st deadline. We are OOS, and Indiana and Kelley was not on his radar at first. His scores exceed the requirements stated for Direct admit. Not sure if thAt means you met the scores, and are in? Just curious of thoughts?
So you would have to petition if you did not apply by Nov 1 and submitted scores and gpa met the criteria.
This is what their website says…
If you do not meet the admissions criteria or missed the November 1 application deadline, you must request approval for direct admission to Kelley. This is called a review request and we encourage you to make the effort—more than 65% of submitted requests are approved and the process takes just 10 minutes to complete.
The Kelley Admissions team does not inform students that they did not meet the criteria for direct admission. If you did not meet the requirements, the Kelley School does not know you’re interested in direct admission unless you make a review request.
My son sent review request the last week of January and heard back on Monday that he got in.
That quick? congrats btw, I petitioned on 11/28 and still havent heard back yet regarding if I got in or not.
what were his stats?
Petitioned in October and still waiting.
Same. 11/4 petition. Gained admission in Dec. still waiting for Kelley.
Why did he submit at request? Was he lacking something, ACT/SAT score and/or lower GPA?
Is he international?
Gpa was high enough but we are from California and don’t have test scores.
His SAT was lower than the required 1370; We live here in Bloomington.
Thanks, that makes more sense to me.
So maybe the fast turnaround was due to instate and even more…local. They may need to fill instate numbers first and local even faster.
Either way congrats to your son!
I know it’s been a while, but did you guys end up submitting the 1240? And did you hear back from Kelley yet?
nothing yet
My friends son heard Monday that he got into Kelley. Petition was probably done in January, didn’t apply to Indiana by Nov. 1. He heard via regular mail. Is that everyone else’s experience? No email?
No, people who have reported get in from petition said it’s an email from “bschool”. Regular US mail seems odd.
Ok, maybe he just missed the email. Mom said it was definitely regular mail.
fyi: not directly related to this thread. As far as business schools go, gies, wisconsin and carlson in the midwest are public schools ranked around kelley.
PS: do not take the rankings too seriously.
Agreed, my kid got into Carlson and we are really liking the programs offered and the proximity to Downtown Minneapolis
Daughter waitlisted - heard via email today, they said will inform final decision by April 26 based on space. OOS 3.9 unweighted, test optional. Ya, she will have decided from other choices before that.
My son just heard he did not get in. OOS. 4.4 weighted and 29 ACT.
