before 2023 both the maths courses were included
Do you know if they can be completed as summer classes or transfer classes?
Hi,
It was my understanding all of the classes you take in the first two semesters have to be a “B” grade. Am i mistaken?
How do the two math classes not count?
I think they can deferred to the 3rd semester or later
I know that a couple of people mentioned gender. My daughter petitioned when it first opened and was accepted in November. She was invited to a “Create Your Kelley” day in February which we went to. When we were there it was obvious that they only invited girls for the day and the staff even said at the beginning that Kelley is currently 70% male and they wanted to encourage more females to attend Kelley.
Son heard from Kelley 3 days ago but just found email (portal not updated)…direct admit appeal declined. Bummer. OOS, 3.9 UW, no test, good ECs.
OOS son was just put on weight list. 3.9 UW, excellent rank and classes but applied test optional. Accepted to Hutton with aid making IU easily our cheapest Big10 option - OSU and UMd are the other top choices and he was a direct admit. Still wondering if an April visit is worthwhile as my son hears so many great things about Kelley.
For students who begin at IUB in the summer of 2023 and later, MATH-M118 Finite Math and MATH-M119 Calculus are required for the Kelley degree, but are not required to be completed at the time of application to the Kelley School. Students should work with their academic advisor to create a plan for completion.
this is what the kelley website says
sorry to hear about that, was it a rejection or a waitlist?
sorry to hear this, was your son rejected or waitlisted sir?
sorry to hear, that was he rejected or waitlisted?
Rejection. End of the road, but it’s fine, it was more my preference than his!
The direct admit criteria needs to be updated. It has stayed the same even as GPAs have been rising the past few years.
that is unfortunate, sorry to hear that.
It’s all good, other great choices he prefers more!
thats, great atleast
He was rejected from Kelley. All is good though, he is really excited about heading to the University of Florida.
Was he rejected today? Off of the waitlist?
No, he was rejected a few weeks ago when IU had the large round of Kelley petition acceptances/waitlists/rejections. I had wrote that reply then when everyone was sharing info.
oh, University of Florida is a great school at least.
