I have a four year, full ride offer to the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University and I also have been accepted to Emory. I'm a direct admit to Kelley, and I am not at Goizueta (no direct admit program), but I am fairly confident that I would be admitted to Goizueta when I apply as an undergraduate student. However, Emory costs around $42k a year and IU is free for me. I stumped what to do... any suggestions?!?!

Since Emory is one of my dream schools, It's hard not to be biased. But realistically speaking it really matters what you want to do, Emory is expensive. IU Kelley for free is a pretty sweet deal. Emory is I guess safe to say near Ivy League caliber.

Emory is a much better school.

Indiana for free and direct admit status shouldn't be overlooked though. I am personally biased so I will give no recommendation, just don't under-rate Indiana.

If Emory isn't going to hurt your finances at all, and you like the small school environment as to the big school environment, then go there. If paying for Emory may be a problem, and you could care less about the class sizes, go to IU. IU should also be given the edge if you plan on going to graduate school.

Thanks for the help! I definitely can't out right afford Emory, so I will definitely be taking on some loans if I went there. My family situation is basically in a bad situation where I don't qualify for much financial aid, but the rest of the cost of Emory would be a large portion of my family's income.

Why do you say IU would give me an edge for grad school? Because, as of now, I would like to pursue education after undergraduate studies.

go to emory.

IU doesn't give you an edge for grad school admissions, both schools have similar reputations for their business programs at the undergraduate level.

However, you will be saving $168,000 (a gigantic sum of money) by attending IU, and your Bachelor's Degree is not important if you are going to get a Master's.

You would be putting either yourself (if you finance it by taking out student loans) or your parents (if they pay for it) in an enormous financial burden by going to Emory. It's definitely not worth it, not saying it's not a good school by any means, but in no way shape or form is Goizueta $168,000 better than Kelley. Kelley even ranks ahead of it for practically every major and overall according to the US News ranking.
