So I’m a transfer at Saddleback College but I heard that for some reason IVC has higher transfer rates. Does being an IVC student up my chances of getting in to a UC and should I change my college of records to IVC?
I doubt it has anything to do with favoritism towards IVC. I believe that there is a high percentage of Asian students at IVC. Historically, that is generally a high performing demographic. It’s more likely that the students at IVC have the grades to have a better shot at successfully transferring to UC’s.
Don’t go by those numbers. Going to saddleback will be fine. It’s all about your course fulfillment and grades.
In the eyes of the UC’s, all CCC are equal. Go to the CCC where you think you will thrive the best. I mostly took classes at one college and took a class at Santa Monica College (a much larger college that sends much more transfer students) due to the availability of a particular class.
