i've got a HUGE problem...

most of you probably thought it was something unrelated to academics. sorry, LOL.
but anyways, as you guys know, junior year is considered THE most important year in your high school career (at least, that's what others/teachers have told me). but the thing is, when i got my schedule i realized that i have a free period/block (whatever you want to call it) my 2nd semester, a lunch period, and 8 period free every other day. and i know i should've taken like more ap's and such... but i was stupid sophomore year. i just wanted to rest (silly me). So my question is, is this bad? if it is, can senior year make up for it? cause i'm planning on taking 5 ap's or so. Thanks!

Why don’t you talk to your counselor and see if you can move into different classes?

Or can you do an independent study course if nothing that is available appeals to you?

i mean i’ll try of course. i set up an appointment with my guidance counselor so we’ll see after. @lammb but isn’t independent study course equivalent to a free period?

How many APs are you taking this year?

Hit your guidance counselor up and talk to him/her. How dare him give you free periods.

I agree with @nothingto. Also, if it’s too late for you to be put into some more AP classes, I’d suggest taking the free time that you will have, to self teach yourself one or two AP’s so you can take the tests in May. :)

i’m only taking one sadly… but i know i’m taking at least 3 or 4 ap’s senior year. also, my guidance counselor said there was only law available to add in and told me if i waited longer, there might be other classes. should i just wait, or take that class?
