<p>As I was reading through the threads about notification dates, I realized some people put down 3/31 5 pm as the date for ivy league schools notifications.. while some people said it is 4/1 this year.</p>

<p>In the past years, the decisions had been released on 3/31 at 5 pm, I believe.</p>
<p>Does a day really matter in the long run? Many colleges send out an email anyways so it’ll get to you whenever it gets to you. Don’t worry. Just enjoy your senior year.</p>

<p>Actually…a day matters a TON in our household. My D will be on Spring Break. We are not lucky enough to have the time or money to go visit every school in which she has an interest. So, if she were to be accepted…we’d possibly be making some VERY last minute plans to try and visit that very weekend. I think they’d make an allowance even though most require a couple of weeks’ notice. And I know we’ll pay an arm and a leg (I’m a travel agent), BUT…there is really nothing we can do until we KNOW. That one day can mean my being able to book and / or even FLY that very night and get somewhere the next day. Or, get in the car and put 10 hours’ drive under out belt. So, for us, it’s pretty important. My D’s school/EC schedule provides VERY few free weekends throughout the year, April is as busy as most, with state contests. She can miss up to 2 days of school to visit colleges per year, but that’s not a big help. So…we’d LOVE to know by 3/31 5pm instead of 4/1.</p>
