My financial aid representative wrote down for some other recognition ceremony “Recipient of Jack Kent Cooke Scholarship” as a bullet point along with other accolades under my name, but I’m not sure if that’s actually TRUE. Anyway, she said she is going to another awards ceremony this Thursday night at a hotel and do something about me, and I’m going there and see what’s going on. Wish me the best, guys, and stay strong whether you won or not.

Hey guys, 2015 JKCF scholar here. Hang in there, don’t bombard the foundation with phone calls, they evaluate up until the very end and there is no definite date when they finish. I’m not going to talk anyone out of their anxiety (I was freaking out until the end too and didn’t find out until AFTER my last day of class). Just keep on as if you haven’t won, continue applying and keep breathing. If you’ve made it this far in the process, you are incredibly capable with a sterling resume. Keep pushing!
Somebody please call the JKC Foundation about when the transfer winners are actually announced this month!!

So are the decisions always delivered through a CC representative? The JKC search tool for their representatives is not working.
@philbegas My Professor told me that they tell the school contact then they have one week to plan something to announce it and JKC will call you 7 days after to confirm that news.
The JKC coordinator at my school just emailed me back and told me that they’re supposed to tell me directly. Hmmmm.
@philbegas I know for a fact about previous years because winners were in the same PTK chapter as me so a few of my friends have won, JKC told the school then the school notified them in a way (surprise you in class, etc). JKC calls a week after they told the school just in case they don’t notify you.
I called JK yesterday and they said finalists will be notified end of this month (April)

Hello everyone, I won! My PTK advisor forwarded me the notification only to the advisors and president on this Thursday. They said they would allow the college to notify the finalists before April 14th because they would send the emails to all the finalists on April 14th. Good luck to all of you!!!
Congratulations Panda100! That is great news. I heard last night that they had started notifying the colleges. I’m out of of town for Catalyst so I am hopeful I will have good news Monday or Tuesday. I hope everyone gets good news! Good luck everyone!
