Thanks Panda100, I’m keeping my hopes high
Congrats Panda!
Museofadvent- I have decided to give up all hopes of winning because when you do not hope, you cannot be disappointed. I’ve had too many rejections to hope on this one, haha.
I believe in you Mirpanda even when you don’t believe in yourself !
Hi, this is my first post. I guess you could say I’m late to the party. Did anyone find out if they got it today? I’m on pins and needles waiting to hear.
I am strangley and unfortunately optimistic about receiving the scholarship, which means if and when I don’t get it I will be that much more devastated :(( . Prepare for the worst everyone, but I still wish you the best!
I have my only class for the week tomorrow so I’m hoping for a surprise *wink wink, I really wish we can all just get it! We have all gotten so far, I have prepared mentally for the worst though. I wish all of you good luck still waiting and keep us in the loop.
Hey everyone! I’m a semi-finalist who, like many of you, has spent the last week anxiously checking my inbox for scholarship news. I wish everyone here the very best of luck.
I noticed that some colleges have already posted news stories about students who were selected as finalists. Should I take it as a bad sign if I haven’t heard anything from my college yet, or will notices continue to be sent out by the foundation over the next week?
Did you hear anything today?
Nothing yet. I’m waiting for some form of contact from either the foundation or my college. I’m assuming that semi-finalists who didn’t move forward will be contacted as well.
Congrats Panda!
At least some of you are starting to find out already.
I’m hopeful, but don’t really want to get my hopes up. I’m hoping I’ll hear something this week, but we’re in spring break so probably not. So far I’ve only gotten an email from my school in regards to the annual scholarship ceremony, but I got one last year as well, so I’m not sure if that has anything to do with it at all. My current school is not the best when it comes to delivering news, good or bad, I just want to get the waiting over with.
From what I’ve read, it seems like they do send notifications to those who don’t get it as well.
I really hope JKC notifies me directly. The people at my CC are useless so I don’t want to rely on them.
IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII WWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!

ohmygod congratulations :DD
@DoryIsSmart2016 Congrats and welcome to the Cooke family
Welcome to the Cooke family, everybody <3
how did you hear @DorylsSmart2016? can you paste the email if you got one?
So I emailed the support team and was told to expect a notice by the end of the month, which contradicts the earlier mid-April timeline. Should anyone who hasn’t heard from their college or the foundation be worried, or do they not necessarily inform the finalists at the same time?
Transfer Scholarship is a little unique in that the foundation tells the community colleges BEFORE the students. Depending on whether or not your CC is planning something elaborate, or a little celebration, or nothing/just forwarding you the email, etc, when you are notified will depend. You should get an email I believe on the 14th but I could be wrong – thought I saw that somewhere internal w/ Cooke.
Congratulations!!!
@CourtneyThurston
Do you know if notifications by the 14th is for both (finalists and non-finalists)?
