@snekfest thanks for sharing bud. Last hour I called Caltech, Cornell, Stanford, Princeton, and Johns hopkins, and they said about the same thing, that the decisions might be released starting next week. I know Stanford, Caltech, and Johns Hopkins are not an Ivy-schools, but the two Ivy school I mentioned they told me the same thing. For other Ivy-School that I applied to such Harvard, decision will be released late May to mid June. Good luck guys.
Hey Everyone, just letting you know that I’m officially closing the survey tomorrow at 12PM. Please complete it if you haven’t already! I will try to have some results by tomorrow or Sunday night!
@FinishingTheApp just took it!!

END OF NON-RECIPIENT RESULTS
Other Observations:
91.3% of winners surveyed received an interview and second email.
There were no people who received only an interview, so it’s safe to assume that the only way to get interviewed is by first getting a second email for additional info.
Not getting interviewed or emailed to doesn’t mean that you are no longer in the running. However, your chances of winning the scholarship drop significantly (<1%)
Getting to the interview almost guarantees your win, but a small minority of candidates who make it this far do not win.
Ask any additional questions you have. I’ll be more than happy to answer anything I can.
Hey all - I know that not all decisions are out yet but I would love to know where everyone is thinking of going? I wish transfer results were released in time for us to take part in things like College Signing Day, but considering that they aren’t, let’s go with
- Top choice from those you applied to? and
- Top choice from those who have accepted you so far?
Best of luck to everyone for the next few weeks of acceptance letters!
@RainbowBritey really share that same sentiment. Also got the email from the Foundation about Signing Day, just going to go with a white shirt as I’m still waiting with you.
- Top Choice: USC, perfect Major, perfect minor, just everything is top for what I really want to do in the future. Especially how nice they seem with undergrads doing research which I'm thinking about.
- Top Accepted so far: Although not officially accepted but have priority admission and pretty confident with UMich.
you?
Princeton sent me an email stating that the notifications will be sent starting 7th of May. Does anyone has any update from any Ivy league school???
Hi everyone, I was wondering if any of you would like to share which institution you will be transferring to? Decided that I will be transferring this year after all. So far I am deciding between UCLA and UC Berkeley and feel like I will be attending Berkeley!
@kb199977 I was just wondering the same thing! We have narrowed our choice down to Brown, Williams or Yale and will decide over the next couple of days.
@RainbowBritey Thats amazing, congrats and keep us updated! I think you’ll love New Haven, unless you’ve already visited! Yale is extremely beautiful.
@RainbowBritey Is it possible that I could speak with you through email? I am really struggling to keep the positive up and am in dire need of some advice into my own personal situation.
Hey Guys
Please do you know if it Is possible for international applicants to apply to the Jack Kent Cooke foundation scholarship
@wefawf sorry for the delay, I haven’t been on here in a while, are you applying in this cycle? What do you need?
@Nnig03 I believe it is, are you in the US?
@RainbowBritey Oh, there are a few questions about the Ecs you mentioned before in other posts, such as PTK pres or UCB SPMP. I don’t quit understand what these abbreviations mean. Also, there are other questions I’d like to discuss with you as non-traditional student (very rarely application form in my region). It would be a great help if you could fill me in with the information. No one really shares the similar situations as in my around…
p.s.: is it possible to give me one of your email addresses to talk with in personal? Not if you want to, I totally understand if you don’t. Thanks for you replying anyway though.
Hi, guys, I hope you that you are all well and once again congratulations to the Jack Kent Cooke Scholarship receipts. I reaching out to you because I’m currently working on a powerpoint presentation about applying to the scholarship to help and encourage more student at my community college to apply. I was wondering if you could tell me about your experience with the application process after the IDOC thing and maybe give me some point or advice as a recipient that I can share with my classmates. All advice is welcome and appreciate it. Thank you
