Jackie Robinson Scholarship

Does anyone know how to enter the test scores? They are asking for the critical reading, math, and writing scores. They then ask for the total score along with the total score without writing.

Anyone who has already completed this would be a great help!

Enter the highest score on each section where they ask you for it. Total score is your highest score on the SAT. Total Score without writing is your highest score on the SAT without the writing section.

If any of you guys have any questions or concerns just lemme know! I’m a current scholar, but still frequent this website just because I really love college confidential and love helping people when I can. Just message me or tag me here if you guys ever have any questions throughout this process at all.

Thank you @BlackHuntress

@BlackHuntress when did you have to send your SAT scores? Before the deadline or after you found out you were a semi finalist?

@GreaserGyal Send them ASAP. I don’t think It’s possible for them to take you as a semi finalist until the scores are in that way they can look at you holistically. It’s ok if you send them and they don’t quite reach on the time of the deadline (if I remember correctly because that’s what happened to me) but you need to send them in ASAP.

Hey, does anyone know if this scholarship focuses heavily on need? My fam makes 150k a year, but will have four kids in college it once… so

@NikkuWadde I know this is after the deadline but I still hope you applied anyway. I think they really do consider everything! And this is coming from someone who is a twin whose family made at the time around 110k per year and was feeling hopeless since a lot of scholarships really favored those around 90k or less. If you make it far, in my interviews I definitely stressed the importance to note that my twin and I would be entering college at the same time. So I think they definitely consider everything! I hope this helps.

@BlackHuntress, do you remember when you were first notified last year?

@Ceciliaagnes Last year I was first notified for my interview May 2. I didn’t officially find out that I was accepted as a scholar until June 10

@Ceciliaagnes I remember reading that they would first notify us by April 30th

@Ceciliaagnes looks like we both applied for UNCF STEM and JRF. Hopefully we get them both. Good luck to you! Btw did you apply for American Chemical Society Scholars?

@countolaf, no just these and Ronald McDonald House. Good lock!

@Ceciliaagnes I missed the deadline for RMH and some others. Was busting my hump getting apps completed in Feb and March. Hopefully we get both and will have a chance to meet one day. Where are you from?

Suburbs of NYC, headed to Princeton or possibly PENN. You?

@Ceciliaagnes I’m in NC

I’m thinking notifications may start going out tomorrow, as it’s the 70th anniversary of the day Jackie Robinson was signed by the Brooklyn. Dodgers and started to change the face of MLB. What a great honor it would be to represent him and all he stood for. Good luck, all!

I just called. They said we’d know by the end of April or earl you May. Side note: anyone in this forum heading to Yale next year?

I was thinking the same thing @Ceciliaagnes but then I thought maybe they would be too busy with celebrations. And it’s a holiday weekend so maybe less likely. I agree it would be a tremendous honor. Fingers crossed for finalist notifications by month’s end.
