January 2010 - Literature

Let's discuss.

i was very surprised there was no drama…

It was a freakin’ nightmare. I omitted like ten and guessed some 20…

I really didn’t think it was that bad. I didn’t omit any.

This test was the EXACT same as last summer’s in June!!!

I thought it was hard too…but some things were easy too. I hated that lily poem lol

Yea Lilly poem was the worst. I already read the Dee/Wangero story in class. The Fredrick Douglas poem was pretty straight forward. What other stories were there?

i also read the dee (wangero) story in class
i had also read the last passage about yolanda before in a summer reading book

I didn’t omit anything but I definitely had to guess a lot!

i thought it was actually pretty easy. except the lily poem. what did you guys think about that one

dude why did she keep saying dee (Wangero)

was it because she didnt know her intentions or something

i didn’t put intentions, what were the other choices? i think it was something about dee trying to change, but i don’t remember too well

I kno what youre saying. she tried to change her ideas but that didnt change who she was or something…that was an answer to another question

oh okay, maybe i did put intensions then

i was confused about some of the meaning in context questions, like “liquid element” and “scurf”

First time taking it. (Not sure why I’m taking it since I have 3 subs already but oh well)
Thought it was pretty difficult but I’ll go ahead and send it.
Any guesses as to the curve? I’m feeling about a -12 for myself which I hope is preferably low 700s or high 600s worst case scenario.

I thought it was good, but that story was kind of weird. lol

i omitted four, and hoping i got at most 10 wrong, which should be low 700’s

For the one about Mrs. Slipslop, what was the tiger description? Personification, epic similie, etc.?

i said personification

It was epic simile. Personification = inanimate objects being given human traits.

darn (10 char)
