I feel like I totaly failed math… will probably get 2000~2200. sigh, decent first attempt.

btw prodigy based on the assumed difficulty of each section you are looking @ around 720~740m; 760~790w;680~700cr which gives you 2160~2230.

Thanks Indianguy and Raichu :)

Woah, you guys all say it was hard? Now the usual SAT is easier? I wanna know how I do on the easier ones.

Probably the same davidthefat. The curve changes based on how hard it is…

^yeah, with an easy test the disadvantage is that a few questions (silly mistakes) could cost a lot, while a harder test usually sharpens your skills and is a bit more forgiving.

Mathematics:
I personally preferred an easy math portion because I had the chance to double, triple, or quadruple check all my answers since I would finish each section 10 - 15 minutes early. Yes, the curve will be unforgiving, but I’d prefer the chance to double, triple, or quadruple check my answers as opposed to finishing with 5 minutes left with maybe having the ability to double check my answers.

Critical Reading:
The harder the better. Every time I took the SAT there will always be 1-2 words whether it/they were in the sentence completion portion or in the passage I would always run a blank on the meaning. Not to mention the 2-3 other questions where I would narrow it down to two and play eeny meeny mini moe.

Generally the curves on CC are fairly accurate +/-50 given you know exactly how many you got correct, incorrect, and/or omitted.

I love how a 2000-2200 is a total fail…

^ I actually do think it is, considering the type of schools CCers are likely to apply to.

I got a 33 ACT and I think it’s a fail.

Anyway, what I really wanted to say is ‘This is the reason why I didn’t take the SAT’

@082349

if u think thats a fail u are a loser… ur not living life to the fullest

What’s ironic is that it’s extremely idiotic to think a 33 ACT or a 2000-2200 SAT score is “a fail.” With respect to any reasonable population here, this is true, unless you just come from a family full of geniuses who thrown down 2400’s and 36’s just as easily as they take dumps.

Reality check/

I missed one Math question?

I missed 6 CR questions?

Jan SAT Test

*Anyone have any thoughts on curve/scores per section?

thanks

Did anyone notice how online, it originally said scores would be available Feb. 9, and they then pushed it back to Feb. 10?

Mathcountser- When did they change it? I checked right after I took the test and it said the 10th.
I saw someone say this test was “hard.” Was this in reference to math, cr, or writing? I sincerely hope it was cr, as I found it incredibly easy (was unsure of 2-4) and I’m trying to qualify for SET. I could care less for math, as I know I bombed it either way.
Lol, sorry for rambling.

Oh, and I need a 740 cause I’m several months past my 13th b-day.

One last message, but I forgot… hides face in shame
About how many could I miss and still get the 740? (estimates, of course)

A lot of people found the CR hard. I didn’t think it was particularly difficult, but I thought that this math was extremely difficult.

@Jason- I was a but surprised by the response, as I thought it was easier than the practice tests I took…

*bit surprised, lol.
That post was in reference to critical reading.

I thought it was pretty easy. I only missed 2 vocab, one I hadn’t ever seen the word before so left it blank and the other I second guessed myself and put ineffable instead of indelible. But besides that I can’t think of any I specifically got wrong. The math on the other hand…

Lol, math was a horror for me, mostly because I’m slooooow. XD
