January SAT 2012 CR International Compiled List of Answers.

Supposedly, all three answers are agreed upon, HangingOnStars. BUT, I am still very skeptical of ‘overly sweeping.’ Kaizeras, there’s no reason to discuss those questions, since that section was experimental.

Yes, but the relationship between a fan and a celebrity does not mimic the relationship between a benefactor and an artist versus retainers (long-term employees) and family members with a pharaoh or whatever it was.

Wait wait, wasn’t the relationship one in which archaeologists twist history through their findings to fit their own biases? I can recall no relation between retainers and pharaohs. I must be suffering from amnesia. :)

^ yes it was an easy passage…but unfortunately it was experimental! …so does not matter

I answered as a fan and celebrity. I think it depicts the relationship a lot more. I think that you may have been going for a more deeper answer (the painter). I’m fairly sure the celebrity answer is correct.
Also, how much do you think the curve will be? I don’t think it’ll be that generous, but still…

It was the garbage one… I’m pretty sure it was fawning “retainers” and “family members.” I’m pretty sure it was the benefactor-artist one. Best represents the relationship between retainers/family members and their rich, powerful employers.

that was in reference to the tombs and sphinx that the pharoahs had built, and the passage was saying that they used them to potray themselves in the way they wanted people to see them. I chose the painter and benefactor one, becuz it is a direct example from history. I couple of weeks ago i read that during the victorian era alot of painters were rich becuz kings and queens greatly wanted their services, many painters painted more attractive pictures of them, or they set up a background for the painting which showed the persons interests and made them seem another way. So basically painters help to falsify their real image, which is equivalent to the tombs.

HangingOnStars, January Int CR was identical to December 2009 US CR, and this was the curve back then:

67 800
66 800
65 800
64 780
63 770
62 750
61 740
60 730
59 710
58 700

So what we’re looking at here, is a 700 for 7 mistakes or -9.

and you flatter sb if you have an intended interest etc…benefactors help painters financially
so it was almost certainly it

I honestly think that you may be reading too deep into the question, but who am I to judge? :stuck_out_tongue: No one can be sure of the answer, so let’s leave it at that.
Again, how generous do you think the curve will be?

^ i am not that good at CR either  …it was just an argument :)

Thanks for the curve values! :D

the answer is not celebrity and noveilst because it said lurid expose, luird means gruesome, and exposes are normally negative. case closed. answer is painter and benefactor lol

So ajmal, you also agree it is artist and benefactor?

LOL! Yeah, I remember now, Lurid means gruesome not great, ah god damn it!

Alright, this one’s 100% right now. The answer is Artist and Benefactor, too bad I can’t edit OP though.

^ yes …i think that was it
more questions, people

math questions plz lol

I’m at -4, no omit, so hopefully I can sneak away with a 750. Anything 700+ will be great though! :)

What are your four mistakes, ColdFlame?

Personally I’m anywhere between -2 and -6.

yea me 2, im like -3 or -4 but like coldflame said anything 700 and over lol
