I haven't actually shopping in quite a while now and I've just noticed that alot of my jeans bunch up at the bottom when I wear them with tennis shoes. The only pair that goes down to the bottom is a bootcut with VERY old diesel shoes:

when the pants bunches up like that it just makes me looks short and my thighs fatter than they really are. Are there any type of jeans/shoes that will go straight down instead of bunching at the bottom. I can't just buy longer jeans b/c it'll just bunch up more. Anyway, I'm still young and cheap so can we stick to mainstream brands gap, american eagle, abercrombie, etc...pictures and links would be helpful too. sorry if its confusing if you know what i mean please help!

Get your jeans taylored so that they're shorter and don't bunch up. Non-athletic sneakers, like the ones in the first picture, are always flatter than athletic sneakers so they don't have the bunching problem. So you could go buy a pair of those.

buy jeans with a shorter inseam
it'll say the waist first and then the length of the leg
like 32X34 means that the waist is 32 inches and the leg seam is 34 inches

pretty much every major brand will make jeans with a variety of lengths

and if your jeans are making your thighs look fat then look for a slimmer fit

check your inseam and find a jean that works or get your jeans hemmed
trust me, it is the only way, and it will make a HUGE difference

for girls most jeans either have a 34 or 32 inch inseam on a regular fit, a 36 or 34 inseam on a long fit, and a 32 or 30 inseam on a petite/short fit. I'm really short and a 28 inseam, and my mom sews, so she hems them for me.
I'm not entirely sure how it works with guys' pants though...

to check your inseam take a pair of jeans that are the right length and measure on the inside of the leg from the crotch to the bottom.

dude get a low rise bootcut by express, their x2's fit just great. Don't buy any jeans from hollister cuz they aren't exactly fitting. Even though I've got all the expensive designer jeans ( 7, diesel etc.), my favourite are my Levi's I got for $50. In my opinion don't pay extravagant amounts of money for a pair of jeans. Try out all the ones you find and get the best fit. To combat your problem of bunching up either try a shorter length or if not available alter them yourself or get shoes with higher soles. Although slim straight jeans with proper length should work for you, its your choice of what fit to select. Anyway keep in mind the jeans you are buying doesn't rest above the top of your shoe or below the heel of your shoe.
