Jhu/mit swimming? Chance me! (jk lol)

Hey!
So I'm not asking about my chances of getting into these schools haha so let's not go to that
Both d3 swim schools that I want to go to for the education, swimming on the side (i love it I dont want to give it up)
Jhu: how good does one have to be to make the team? Idk how to figure that out. I'm not spectacularly fast but I love the sport, even if I don't make the team I'll swim club. I'm 15, and for reference my fifty is a 27 give or take, my 200 is 2:08:65. Guy. I swim club and school.
Same for MIT.

Btw, is it true that if you want to walk on a d3 team, you can, and you'll practice with the team and such, but you won't letter unless you're good enough to swim at meets?

Thanks! :)

How about you go on their website, look who is on their team and find out their times. Its not as if one of their swimmers is online at 4am in the morning ready to give you his times.

someones grumpy lol
their times only report those who swam at tourney meets, which doesn’t include many members of their team, as well as those who didn’t letter
and i was awake at 4! haha

You can also always e-mail the swim coach! But yes, there is a swim club, and some of my friends are on it. But definitely e-mail the coach - I’m sure they’ll be able to answer all your questions.

hey thats great! thanks!
i go to neighboring prep school gilman, do you know it?
