i don't know, it sounds good. wow how does everyone get these research opportunities? i never hear or find anything!!!

all you have to do is just go ask your professors, they'll be gald that you want to work for them without pay...seriously, who wouldn't be? :)

Wow, that sounds amazing! Just make sure you specify why JHU in particular as your #1 choice. Just make sure you concentrate on your school work this time around (I'd say above a 3.7 GPA), plus significant EC's. Good luck!

p.s. if you had that bad of a hs record, consider going to your college for 2 years and then transfer as a junior. They put less weight in your hs record and more weight on your college achievements if you transfer as a junior

Rejected, but oh well..Im already an nyu student. still would have been nice to be accepted though, this is the third time they didnt accept me haha

Same...rejected, oh well I sent my deposit to Gtown anyways

umm....Accepted... I emailed them to withdraw my application last week too.....

tennis, what was ur gpa?

3.96

CherryBlossom:.....uh congrats?

Dear Charles,

Congratulations! You have been accepted for transfer admission to Johns Hopkins University for fall 2008. Your official acceptance packet is on its way to you now by postal mail, but I wanted to be the first to extend my best wishes on such a significant accomplishment.

If you have applied for financial aid, information regarding your financial aid package will be included in your acceptance packet.

Should you have any questions before your packet arrives, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Congratulations again on a job well done!

John Latting
Dean of Undergraduate Admissions

Congrats Charlesjeon! Are you gonna go to JHU?

Nope. off to penn!

accepted. Declining the offer though.

Let's make this thread legit, give your admission decision (along with any other schools you've been accepted to), the school you're leaving, whether or not you will be attending JHU and your reason...and maybe your favorite song at the moment for fun?

I'll start it out:
Accepted! (Also in at Georgetown and Emory)
Leaving Colgate
Still not sure, but leaning towards a yes! I'm into public health, I'm pre-med and I'm a neuroscience major so JHU looks really good to me. Have heard some negative things about social life there though.
Favorite song at the moment: The Guns and Roses cover of Sympathy for the Devil

Hey what's up DorkAlert! Congrats on making it into JHU

Not accepted to JHU, but I'm heading to Georgetown this fall
Leaving Montgomery College
Favorite song at the moment: uhh don't really have one right now, sorry!

p.s. You should def go to JHU man

thanks tennis, I still wanna visit before I finalize it but with these choices I feel like I can't go wrong. Good luck at Georgetown, I've been wearing my Hoyas sweatshirt almost every day since I got in!

just got the acceptance package.
package is cool, black folder with all stuff inside
they gave me 11k grant... I guess that makes it cheaper than my current school, ucla (oos), but I will be heading to Penn.
I am sorry to take one's spot

what was everyone's hs gpa, test scores, and college gpa? and what type of school did u apply from?

Charlesjeon: don't be sorry man, you deserved it! (although thanks for the thought ha)

DorkAlert: Thanks man! Maybe you'll change ur mind when you visit...but nah you should def go to jhu (I still need to pick the perfect gtown sweater still ha)

Congrats to everyone who made it
