my son was admitted too
Ugh, daughter got deferred. She visited, and her stats were above average. She’s so upset. Anyone know if it’s hopeful for out of state? I feel like we have to change our whole plan, this was her top choice
We are OOS.
Don’t get discouraged. She’ll get in come the RD round.
DD was accepted. It’s her first acceptance. We’re all so happy for her.
my decision is in my portal today
attached letter states : Financial Aid & Scholarship offers will be
available mid-February.
I heard that JMU notoriously defers most of their EA applicants. you wont see it on CC because most just post the good news. However, there is a very good chance they will get in RD.
My DD got in! She is so excited!
I Agree with TinaLaura, I didn’t post when my son got deferred from U of SC. Generally biased with good news on these sites. Don’t panic, it’s early and it will all work out
Admitted, so not getting the email was okay.
All schools are doing their best to manage the number of students they bring to campus now. They rely heavily on ED/EA to create a baseline for the percentage of people that might accept. Then they figure out how many to admit RD + they build a waitlist as a fail-safe. The last thing any school wants are news stories about over enrollment and freshman overcrowding.
My daughter is admitted! She was anxious to check while in public!
So now here comes the choice………
UVM or JMU?
Thoughts?
we have the same decision. I think my son will go to both admitted student visits and decide from there. If he gets into Honors JMU I’m guessing his choice will be JMU.
I’m a UVM grad so I’m biased but they are both nice schools. Congrats
my husband is a JMU grad
Thank you! This is the news I need to share with her when she stops crying.
I’m a JMU grad and my other son is a graduating senior at JMU.
Son was Admitted!
