Job opportunities for CSOM

Hi, I was just wondering what the job opportunities are like for CSOM students. Also, what are their undergraduate classes like? Thanks

Hi. Job opportunities are relatively plentiful at BC. That goes across most of the undergrad schools. I’m a CSOM freshman and know a solid number of people in my class are already looking into internships and whatnot as soon as this summer. My TA in one of my classes (a senior) already had a job lined up at Deloitte consulting by the time the semester concluded. CSOM is #4 nationally and, as a result, gets a fairly favorable overview from prospective emplyers- especially in the northeast.

Classes, overall, are very diverse to be honest. There is a strong emphasis on the liberal arts so you won’t get into your more intensive major-specific CSOM classes until your junior year most likely. CSOM-specific core classes however (at least the ones I’ve taken) have been awesome. Really great professors and often very accessible whenever you need help. They are very thorough about core requirements here. You’ll have your university-specific liberal arts core (theology, calculus, philosophy, science w/ lab, etc) and then your CSOM biz-core (marketing, finance, analytics, etc). From there, you’d be taking your more exclusive upper level classes.

I’ve really loved my time here so far, for what it’s worth. Let me know if you have any other questions!
