Job Recruiters On Campus

Anyone know how strong recruiting is at Emory? Have heard conflicting reports.

It sucks compared to Wharton and is great compared to state schools …

Emory sends students to the top companies (GS/JPM/MBB/big4/etc), not always in the most flexible of locations…

What are you interested in? What are you trying to gauge against?

State schools have good recruiting opportunities

did you miss my entire point? I never said state schools have bad recruiting, just that Emory is better (IE asking if emory has “good” recruiting is pointless because what does “good” mean?)

But in regard to your article, I stopped reading after this line…“In the study—which surveyed 479 of the largest public and private companies, nonprofits and government agencies”

That excludes the best consulting firms, the best banks…really the best of anything besides f500. Most of the top ivy kids go to top firms, which are underrepresented in the article. Therefore, the ivy kids that those companies DO see (if any) are at the bottom of the barrel. Show me that GS or McK are taking more kids from penn state (as a percentage of applicants) than Emory or Ivys and then i will believe the article’s message
