Hey,

I'm an out of state student. I'm going to be spending my first semester in Tallahassee this upcoming Spring and was wondering if anyone on the forum had recommendations for places to look for part-time work. I'm up for pretty much anything and have a pretty manageable schedule.

Thanks in advance for the consideration.

Cheers

If you will be at FSU, stop by the Career center. They have job listings for on and OFF campus. Quite a few local employers list their job openings with FSU, even for just the part-time student type job.

If you are at TCC, check there also.

I worked in the Clerk's Office of the House of Representatives (in the Capitol) during one Legislative session when I was a student at Florida State. They hire temporary employees if you go and ask...good thing to keep in mind. ;)

were you awarded college work studY?

No - the position was not connected with the university, except indirectly.

well the opp to work in the state gov for one interested in poly sci sure makes tally a great lcoation!
as for op i think most of the more desirable jobs on campus require college work study. My son has a cws job working at the WW2 and Human experience Institute . Interesting work at a FSU office that preserves artifacts connected to world war 2. AFter writing and researching his book The greatest Generation Tom Brokaw donated his collection to preserved here. ( I think they are trying to raise money to eventually have a museum).

Other friends of son work on campus with baseball team and off campus at PUblix grocery store and Old navy
