Jobs as a Student

What kind of on-campus jobs are there available to students? Do they just pay minimum wage?

What about off campus? What kind of places could you work part-time at and still be a full-time (15hr) student?

I'm guessing a job probably isn't the best thing to do my first year in college, wherever I go, as I need to get acclimated to college life. However, I need to earn money somehow!

Any suggestions? I'm entering as an English (Editing, Writing, & Media if I go to FSU) major. What kind of internships do you think I could get with places in the area? Tally is the government hub of FL, so I would think editing/writing internships wouldn't be too hard to track down.

Am I headed in the right direction?

Well I went to the part-time job fair last week that FSU offered and the on campus seemed like there were some. I know I have recieved two interviews for on campus but you have to be very sociable to handle the types of jobs that are offered.

Off campus there were many at the job fair. You need to make sure you have somewhat of a resume and that you are determined and probably have a car. I know that right off campus surrounding the school it is a bit hard to find a job but not impossible.

As If you are headed in the right direction is all based on what you can handel. If you can handle all of this at once then that is awsome. If not, it is okay to wait a year for a job is my opinion.
