I'm seriously considering getting a job this fall since I'll only have classes two days a week, but I don't really know where I could apply.

Could someone suggest some places (preferably on-campus) to which I could apply?

Drop by and meet with local employers at the Part-Time Job Fair! Obtain flexible part-time employment, on-campus or locally, while earning your degree. Dress is casual!

This event is sponsored by the Career Center and the Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce.

Great, thanks! :]

My son was able to get a job on campus. He was persistent and took an entry level job but was able to quickly move up when there were openings. The employers on campus are more understanding to a student’s schedule. Good luck.

I was able to find a job as a student assistant on campus and several jobs off campus during my time at Florida State.

As a student I worked in these jobs:

Student assistant for FSU
Temporary fireman for USDA - working in the National Forest (heard an ad on the radio)
Installing two-way radio equipment for a Motorola radio shop
Session employee in the Clerk’s Office at the Capitol
Delivering flowers for a local florist
Reserve police officer for TPD

The jobs are there if you are willing to work.

That’s great. I’m very willing to work, and for this first semester I’m free five days a week, I’m just scared transportation would be a problem (if I were to go off-campus).
I guess I’ll just try really hard to find one on-campus.

For the Job Fair, should our clothing be casual casual or business casual?

^^Look like you mean business. I think gals should probably wear a dress, and guys slacks and dress shirt maybe with a tie. I don’t think it is smart to wear too casual like flip flops and shorts.

I think a dress is a bit much but probably dress pants and a nice top
