so my question is, if i decide not to go to a law school, what will be the jobs available to me right after an economics undergrad degree?

suppose i have graduated from say ucsd with around 3.5 gpa with a major in econ and minor in business...what kind of jobs will i be able to get?

will these companies also fund my MBA?

anyone else on CC majoring in Econ?

Mostly business or government jobs

^ is there any chance i could get a job as a financial analyst?

what do u think of econ as a major overall?

A financial analyst is not a very descriptive title. You can be a financial analyst at an ibank (which would be very hard from UCSD) or a regional firm (which is possible). Econ is a popular major so its not disadvantageous.

UCSD does not have a minor in business. It has a Management Science major under the econ department.

wait what do u mean by "under the econ department"....are there several kinds of econ majors in ucsd?

i am thinking of majoring in Management science b/c it seems more challenging as u have to take harder math than economics and also it has more units to complete, only thing is does not have that econ has is Macroeconomics, and that doesn't seem very imp. to me as compared to Microeconomics? so if i want to get a job right after undergrad is Management Science a gud major? and what can i do as a minor with it?
