Jobs

So I'm contemplating getting a job while in school. I'm 16 and need a car so that is what I will buy.

I have a series of questions for you that I'd be eternally grateful for if you answered:

Do you have a job?
Where?
What are your parents' rules?
How much do you get paid?
Like it?
How old were you when you started?
Can you manage school OK with it?

I know it sounds like a lot, but please answer them. Thanks.

I want to add that I'm considering Ross' or Kohl's. Somebody respond. =/

I tried applying at Kohl's and they flat out "rejected" me, I thought it was ridicuous...they said that they "couldn't match any of my qualifications"...***. Anway, working there seems a little...umm..boring.

I'm considering to apply at Starbucks ( i've heard that they give good pay? and free coffee!) and at barnes and noble of course!...Borders seems cool too.

Currently, I'm jobless.
My parents think I'm too young to work. :(
Although if it's school related, they would allow it, such as tutoring.
I started in the 8th grade as a tutor. I got paid 100-125 dollars a month. I went home at 6:00pm; managing school didn't seem difficult at that time.
If I would consider looking for a job I would want to be a math tutor (9dollars per hour) or work at Borders (although I have to convince my parents).

I have a job at a local small business (an appraisal business).
Parents not giving any rules.
$8/hr (minimum wage in CA) for about 8-10 hours a week.
They give me menial tasks like shredding paper and organizing stuff, but at least I'm not working fast food.
Started in November when I met my employer through FBLA.

I'm taking 5 AP classes and holding a few leadership positions, but I used to never do anything productive from 3-5pm. Now I get paid!
