but their orientation is tomorrow so if we get off the waitlist are we just going to miss it?

Probably

This probably means that they will pull from the waitlist. But it’s also frustrating cause WHEN??

We’re all asking the same thing!! But I’m so glad it means they will take some! Hopefully all of us who have hung on since it’s not that many

I feel they are waiting after move in to see how many people were not able to show up, than take people off the waitlist.

it’s kind of sad that they’re doing this to us though i’m glad we all have the strength to get through this though!!

if yall do get accepted, the least i can do is reach out to my friends involved in orientation and see if they know what the plan is for late entrance students

any news or updates anyone?

what time is their move in tomorrow

Nope, nothing yet

it’s at scattered times between tomorrow and sunday

Since today they are obviously not accepting anyone. Do you think they will accept people over the weekend due to move ins or wait until Monday.

As much as I hope they’ll take over the weekend, I feel that AOs won’t be in till Monday so that’s when they may take (hopefully). Plus, that’s probably when they’ll have final numbers.

Wait, wait, wait, to summarize everything we went through the past 5 month. Johns Hopkins is planning to take people off the waitlist, after move in day because of International not being able to receive their visas, and to see if they will still come in or defer. Or any other student. I move in Sunday, and honestly I don’t know how I will feel going into my dorms then up and leaving my roommate. I hope if they do plan on taking people in its before class starts or before Monday it’s over. I feel I would feel less guilty leaving before anything was started. My parents would honestly care less since Johns Hopkins is way closer, basically a 1hr, and they wanted me to stay close to begin with. If people do get in (hopefully many of us), this waitlist year is going down in the history. Say "hi’ to the future generation reading this folks.

Peace be with you.

Agreed. Just moved in yesterday but Hopkins is my #1 choice, also closer than my current school and much more accessible from home. Praying we hear Monday and it’s good news, but latest before classes start! Also really want to be in a city - current school’s in a very rural area

hey guys when do classes start for jhu? august 31? and if they are to take people off rhe waitlist, would they give them less than a week to decide?

also, do students only have today to move into their dorm? or does johns hopkins give them a few days to settle in?

People move in today and tomorrow, staggered throughout the weekend.
