Johns Hopkins Fall 2017 Transfers

@Sparks343 wait are decisions on May 8th at 3pm?

@VaishS Yes. I got an email on Tuesday saying that decisions will be released May 8th at 3pm.

Waittttt so did everyone except me get an email??

You should have. Check your junk folder.

@VaishS If you are using Gmail, emails from JHU will usually get directed to the Promotions folder.

I can’t find the email… could someone copy paste it into here for me (minus personal info)?

I didn’t get the email either. I checked the promotions tab on my gmail, and it wasn’t there.

@VaishS

Johns Hopkins University admissions decisions for transfer applicants will be released on Monday, May 8, 2017, at 3:00 p.m. Eastern.

Next week, you’ll receive an email with instructions on how to set up your account for the Johns Hopkins University admissions decision website.

IMPORTANT: Your log-in credentials will be based on the email address to which this message was sent.
If this is the email address that should remain associated with your admissions decision account, no action is necessary.

If you prefer to use a different email address, let us know the new one by emailing applyhelp@jhu.edu. Please note that it can take a few days to process email update requests.

Don’t hesitate to contact us if you have questions.

@qhenderson1 Did you check spam as well? If you didn’t get one, I would give the admissions office a call just to be safe.

Thank you @Sparks343

Also if anyone gets any more emails from JHU, just mention it on here so everyone knows the info bc clearly some of us arent getting them!!

I did not get the email either, I checked every possible place…

I also did not get the email

Yeah I did not get the e-mail either. That is really weird… that a significant amount of people on this forum did not get an email from them that some people got? I wonder what’s wrong?

Did you try calling the admissions office? Maybe they didn’t add your correct email address for the mailing list.

@PupperthePupcake I mean, I would think it was a problem on my end if I was the only one not getting the email, but since it was a lot of people it seems likely it is a problem on their end. Maybe I will call.

i’ve gotten emails from them before so they have my email. I really hope this isn’t a sign of rejection

I got my email last Tuesday (4/18) and the title said “Accessing your Johns Hopkins University admissions decision”. I could only see the title on the lock screen and it scared the crap outta me. I felt like being pranked after opening the email… but hey, at least not a rejection!

Wait a second, so most of you guys here didn’t get that email?

Edit: I use Hotmail btw

Interestingly when you sign into the portal, the little message that used to be there is gone.

I got the e-mail. It confuses me that people automatically tie this to an admission decision. Well, if the majority of people did not get an e-mail it might be as sign for something. But really though, basing that on this thread, which isn’t that accurate seen this tiny sample size…? I find this whole e-mail thing strange, however. I hold my horses till the final decisions come out; maybe we can look back who got in and got this e-mail so the applicants of the next cycle have something to refer to.

“Your admissions decision is not yet available. You will receive more information about accessing your admissions decision and viewing your financial aid status, if applicable, closer to the decision release date.” everyone still get this when they log in to the portal?
