omg and we have to wait 3 more weeks

I know! Ughhhhh. I really don't like standarized tests in humanities..

Do you guys remember that question with a quote from Malthus about population levels vs. living standards? I couldn't decide between two answers, and ended up guessing.

I think it was...

As populations grow, living standards decrease (due to resources).

His theory was basically that you could control population by keeping living standards low... and the question asked why this theory was dismissed in the 19th/20th (can't remember) century...

Whatever - I'm pretty sure I got this one wrong. I still don't understand it really.

Malthus' theory was proven wrong because as population increased, living standards increased.

ooh now i remember the question
i put population rose along with living standards
he was basically arguing that population and living standards could not both rise simultaneously because a high population would mean low food supply, and vice versa
if population and living standards rose at the same time (which it did) this would disprove his theory

The map with the arrows...what was that? I got it right, just don't remember the question.

polynesian migrations

The one about Gorbachev...wouldn't you say that glasnost would be a westernization with the openess and more consumer culture from the west?

Peter the Great's policies partially failed because of his continued autocracy. But I guess there's the table of ranks...?

does anyone remember whether the "western" choice was something along the lines of "western TECHNOLOGY"? cuz then that would be wrong...

Liberal: adj.
1. Open to new behavior or opinions and willing to discard traditional values.

Peter was liberal.

1-4 wrong :)

i don't know why u stoped posting on this board but anyway i remember one more question, that kinda made me laugh, because how could we know it.

Question: it was a picture of a can of chicken soup and they asked who drew the artwork for the label? Anybody got that one, if yes how? guessing?

^That question on was on the USH test not WH. And it was a can of tomato soup, not chicken.

Wharhol...I knew it because it's famous

Yeah, that's a really famous painting.

I thought it was a gimme question...you could also do POE if you didn't know.
