Did anyone have an additional fifth section? My test did. It was a 15 question reading section. Apparently it was only for those who had the no writing test. I was so confused when I saw it, and they said that this was the first test with the 5th section. So, I was just wondering if anyone else had it and what you thought about it.

and Im still confused on what the answer to the Edision one was

Was it that he wanted to appear like an average worker or that he had to follow the regulations?

just to clarify, the correct answer was DEFINITELY about how he was making sweets for his kids with the whole “get in shape” thing. Sorry NewAccount, but you fell into the trap of the seemingly obvious, but blatantly incorrect choice. If you read the passage, Rakhi (the girl) repeatedly refers to her fathers cooking. Don’t you remember when she was talking about get the texture of the sugar mixture just right, and how her father kept doing it over and over until it was perfect? and more importantly, if you read the sentence with the actual quote, it directly refers to how her father was trying out all these snacks and sweets on his kids.

how about the question that had something to do with the way that prarie dogs were raised? i don’t even remember any possible answers for that one

Does anyone remember a question talking about some behavior the prairie dogs do? I remember two of the choices were something like

Respond differently depending on the danger

and

A certain type of prairie dog keeps watch on the perimeter

I put the second option… Only one I wasn’t sure on. I don’t remember the passage talking about how the dogs react differently.

^what you put is what i put.

It’s how they react differently to danger…they even mention a truck vs. a wolf.

i agree with xavier

Lol, for ACT reading, I’d just like to say, there are a lot of arguments over answers this time round (if it were SAT CR, I’d understand), but these answers are so…literal, speaking of which, does anyone remember putting, “metaphorical, because of something”?

I put literal. They had literally covered the waterways.

i also put literal cus of construction

Xavier,

I remember seeing truck and wolf, but I remember reading it as something along the lines of:

“The prairie dogs will sense danger, such as truck or a wolf, and yada yada yada…”

Unless my eyes were playing tricks on me, I don’t remember reading anything about how they react differently for a truck vs. a wolf.

they had different calls 4 different danger

I agree with LAXer but idk if it’s right…it did say it directly in the text

and Im still confused on what the answer to the Edision one was

Was it that he wanted to appear like an average worker or that he had to follow the regulations?

@Mabs, “Had to follow” is the answer (I think).

^i put that he wanted to be avg. but idk if its right

appear like a regular worker

I’m pretty sure I got this right… but it kind of tripped me up for a bit.

With the Indian painter girl story… Did anyone put “she learned how to paint from her mother” as something that didn’t occur?

UVA - “I don’t even know how there is debate about Edison wanting to be an average worker. ONE OF THE QUESTIONS ASKED WHAT THE AMERICAN WORKERS LOVED TO SEE!!! It was obvious Edision aspired to appear like a normal worker. They said that he punched in and 2 other things. It was one of the except questions…”

correct ideology
