June 14th ACT ****************************

English: really really easy. Had 10 min. leftover, usually I have 2-3
Math: geesh. Somehow, I ran out of time. On the last 2 pages, I started having a minor panic attack and I guessed on 3-4. On all my practice tests, I consistently scored well on math. oh well!
Reading: easy. I can’t even remember what the last passage was about though.
Science: I thought it was easier than real ACT science.

I know that ACT claims you don’t need prior knowledge, but on this test, I don’t see how that was possible. I took Bio ~2 years ago, so I had NO idea for which picture is prophase.

i took ap chem and i dont even remember viscosity!
plzzzz throw it out [nice] ACT people!

just to be sure…viscosity is resistance to flow, right? i remember learning that in my honors chem class.

would they throw out such a question? or is that out of the question? (hah. i like it when i make word associations.)

i don’t know.. does the ACT really throw out the hard questions, just because a huge percentage of test takers didn’t get the right answer?

if they throw out a questions wouldn’t they make a 36 possible by missing one?

what were the mitosis questions? the one about prophase was the circular stuff, right? and metaphase was the picture of the rods lined up down the middle…i think

oohh ohh there was there were two physics questions that i really hated… one asked for some decimal related to TME and i totally guessed and picked .059… another answer choice was .092… maybe i got lucky? :(

the other was right after that. it asked about speed (i think) at points s, t, and u from slowest to fastest. i put s, u, t but never ever took a physics class so i felt so screwed

that’s what I got.

yeah you are right about descriptions mitosis prophase was picture 4, metaphase was picture 2

the one closest to the ground i think was the fastest and the on in the air was the slowest for sure!

gymfreak was there also an answer like .0596 or something?

wasn’t the answer .092 ?

could someone explain to me how you got 19 for the third side of the triangle inscribed in the circle? Please

English- Very easy
Math- Fairly Easy
Reading- 2 passages were easy and I got lost in 2 of them..
Science- Beasssssssstly bad.. ugh.

Oh and the viscosity problem made me wish I took physics.

the physics one was S, T, U. since s was the highest point and U was the lowest point, right?..

noo… i had no idea; i’ve never ever taken a physics course… that’s why i’m putting the question out there… one answer choice was .059 and the other was .092 and they were b and c, respectively. i dont remember the other values, but i dont recall .0596 as being one of them. the ? was 2nd to last on the physics

u was the point on the circle thing (i really didnt get why that was that way), s was the point at the top of the incline, and t was the point right where the horizontal line and the incline met

that one was the last physics question. i got s as the slowest, u in the middle, t as the fastest, but had no idea why bc i never took physics

i think i put .059 then

was s the point in the sir for the physic question?
