Any takers?
Am I mistaken or where there a few erroneous questions in the vocab/grammar section?

I took French too . Can't wait to start discussing .

vocab was hard.

"hard" is actually an euphemism.

"hideous" comes to mind.

did anyone else notice the mistake? it was like "elle s'est ... la jambe" and all choices ended with -

there are many that i should have omitted...unfortunately i'm a guessaholic and put down ridiculous answers for far too many of them. aie.

for elle s'est casse la jambe, past reflexive verbs do not agree if there's a (ok i can never tell the difference, i just go with the flow, but it's either inderect or direct) object directly following them.
I remember reading about that in my late night cram session last night and being like *** none of my teachers ever mentioned that...

why would etre have to be reflective for the other one?

for the last question I said the monuments but i really had no idea

looooooool you are right Rister_Chutophs
it should be elle s'est cassee la jambe
at : "J'ai peur que nous ne soyons ..." me too i thought it should be nous nous, perdu is the right answer isn't it ?
i could not do the one with burning sand cuz i didn't understand the answer choices.
what was the answer to the first, the one with the waiter at the restaurant ?

what was this burning sand thing you guys are talking about?
i chose serviettes because i saw the word waiter and assumed napkins, but i really had no idea what was going on in that sentence

yeah i chose perdus and serviettes too.

other opinions about the last question?

Just wondering, how many years of French have you guys taken?? I've taken 4, but my teacher is a pushover and so we don't learn anything.

Reading your discussion, I'm assuming I would not have done so well.

i've done 4 years as well and i think i'm pretty good in french - but our teacher focused rather on writing/speaking than on learning a few exceptions and rare idioms (which are very important for the SAT Subject Test unfortunately :( )

It's casse and not cassee because the direct object, the jambe, with which the participle agrees was after casse, not before.

I put perdu.

I'm gonna list some ones I was unsure or, or what I can think of... anyone agree/disagree?

Semelle (for the burning sand)
c'est l'heure du GOUTER
The students have to s'inscrire
The pictures were badly developed because they weren't eclarcies

Do you use subjonctif after promettre? Le train arrivera dans quelques minutes, et je te promets que ta mere sera la. I put future, but was unsure.

For the passage about the veterinary clinic, was it that you will represent vets? And you need a college type degree?

here are my answers

cass

Do you know what type of French was on the test. I planning on taking it as my next subject test next year. Was it testing the future tense, or the pass

well, it's obviosuly testing all tenses.
there is a list of covered topics on collegeboard.com i think

@ Billy__Liar : 2 years at school , but i'm good cuz i've been living in Paris
@ Kristina : what is semelle ? i put sera
do we use subjonctif avec le verbe penser ? je pense qu'elle vienne ou je pense qu'elle vient. i did je pense qu'elle vient
About the vet . clinic i put selling medicaments for dogs ( it was originally saying : vendre ........ canines )
How did you do the question about that shop? I did it is open during the weekend ( 23 - 24 Aout )

Rister: ********, are you sure about eclarcie? Because doesn't that mean brightened up?

And I thought the vet thing was representing them, because the title was Delegue something, which I took to mean delegate.

I put the characteristic was so many young people. That was kind of weird, though.

What about the gold jewelry passage? Where does the gold come from? Is it the boue in the river? And does she bring a griot with her to get the guy's attention?

Baphomet, you use subjunctive with penser when it's negative. So it was je ne pense pas qu'elle vienne.

The shop is not open on the weekend-- didn't it say closed dimanche? I said it was open during lunch, because it said open continuellement or something.

Also, for the ad about the leather accessories, what is the thing you would not find there? Sac de voyage?
