Yea han607, i put that one.
And the one with sperms was seperation of homologues right? I dont think one of the choices were seperation of chromatids.

Some1 should comply all the questions in this forum and make a list of them.

5 skipped....a couple more wrong maybe even 5 wrong
what would my score be

what would it be if i got none wrong

sorry to spam..but Im really freaking out about this.

Does anyone know what the last question on M or even the last two or three questions??

Any help will me much appreciated....

last few qs were about the blood i think--there may have been three after that...what was the last thing you remember

hmm... I remeber the blood being the last few questions up to number 60...

On the M section I know that I got passed the UV light section since that was my only omit....

After that I have almost no memory on the bio test and I think I may be just worrying too much but I just had a dejavu where I realized I never saw the STOP sign.....

I think I can remember it though if som1 got a close wording of the last question...

thanks for the help><

trying to figure this out since if I didnt finish i should cancel...esp since I think I already got 7ish wrong and I wanted 750 and up which sux since I think i got 800 on math2><

compilation of answers (most people agree on these answers):
1. homologous structures: dog forelegs/ whale fins
2. which ones are true about resting person: everything BUT systolic heart rate of 180.
3. burred fruits/dandelions: seed dispersal
4. NO3 converted to N2: release into atmosphere
5. which one does not decrease heart rate: vigorous exercise
6. pollinate unscented/ not colorful flowers: wind
7. menstrual cycle: shedding of endothelial lining

(still some disagreements)
1. Hawaiian drosophila flies: hot spots or rain/day areas
the answer choices:
hawaii is isolated from the rest of the continent, there are lots of vegetation in hawaii not present elsewhere, rain/day areas, hot spots, volcano seperates patches of agriculture
2. land stripped of all vege. except soil: lichens, herbs, or shrubs (i said lichens, but i'm probably wrong)
3. alcohol and blood pressure (i googled it and i'm getting conflicting results)
4. ribose, phosphate, nitrogen: nucleotide or RNA (i said RNA)
5. fever: high white blood cells or low white blood cells (i put high)

my questions:
1. the whale and the ______ was it commensalism?
2. what were the answer choices to the alcohol and blood pressure one?

On M, the last few Qs went in this order:

After the pH Questions concerning the peaches pinapples etc, there was a drawing of a cell with a virus infection, and it asked questions like: What was protein X? What can be concluded about viruses and cancer?

After those Questions came the last lab on M - it was the dialysis bag one. The lab was described, and the results showed that nothing diffused out of the bag except for the glucose molecules.

The last few questions on M was about this lab, and it asked you Qs like, what occured after 24 hours [I think this question was formatted in the I. II. III. way, and one of the choices was that the solutions were isotonic after 24 hours]. Another question asked you what can be concluded, and a choice was that the diffusion of molecules depended on the size.

Hope this helped ^^.

my questions:
1. the whale and the ______ was it commensalism?
2. what were the answer choices to the alcohol and blood pressure one?
[/quote]

Yes, the whale and the barnacle was commensalism.

Three other choices to the alcohol blood pressure one:

Walking up a flight of stairs.
Coffee.
Methamphetamine.

I can't remember the first choice.. But I knew for sure that the answer wasn't that one.

okay, based on the answer choices, alcohol IS the answer for which one decreases heart pressure. all the other ones INCREASE hp.

omg yes it did u are a life saver!!!!

i guess im going to get a 700 on this one
800 on math 2....which still kinda is a bummer but esp since I probably wont have time to ever take bio ever again...and it was soooooooooooooooooooooooooo easyyy...jst stupid mistakes...

wonder if they will still make the curve like 5 questions...><

on the ecology matching one (mutualism, commensalism, etc.) what was the one about
A species takes over a resource and the other do not have access anymore was that interspecific competition (sorry if this has already been answered.)

interspecific commpetition i think...

So quick discussion about the Hawaiian island question:

I changed my answer from the hotspot to the weather, here is why:

If the island wasn't created by a hotspot, it would have been part of Pangaea, this would have allowed many flies to easily get onto the island during the time of Pangaea.

I am sensical? Or do I need a nap?

i'm pretty sure that the hawaiian island is the hotspot question; different weather on different parts of the islands would cause the flies to develop specific adaptations to their particular weather... the hotspot (mantle or whatever) answer was the only one that doesn't contribute to adaptive radiation. it's not like the flies mutated cause of the heat...

*hotspot answer

on the "still some disagreements" posted by springflower:

Hawaiian drosophila flies: hotspots

land stripped of all vege. except soil: this is testing succession, so i'm pretty sure it's lichens

alcohol and blood pressure: alcohol is the answer; everything else raises blood pressure but alcohol functions as a depressant

ribose, phosphate, nucleotide: RNA, cause it contains the phosphate and the 5 carbon sugar (ribose) so together they make RNA

fever: high white blood cells cause the body would be fighting an infection so the wbc count would be higher

I have a question regarding one of the first few Questions on the test. There was a matching question that asked something along the lines of..

*Which of the following has skin adapted for gas exchange, but not lungs. *

I think this was how the question was worded. If not, feel free to correct me.. But I was wondering, what was the answer to this..?

I agree with lak3rzf4n because Hawaii was formed WAYY after Pangaea, so thisguyhere's reasoning doesn't make sense. In evolutionary terms, Hawaii is a VERY recently formed island....

geographical isolation would contribue to the development of new species because of the original species of flies can't go back to the mainland aka allopatric speciation

it is highly unlikely there will be a low curve this time, the test was VERY ez. There are bound to be a lot of ppl with no mistakes = high curve. mayb -3=800 at the most. (but lets hope not i might have missed one of the blood ones, but besides that i havent found any other mistakes)

Still No one answered my question: Wasnt there a question about which 2 of these would carry the least oxygen? (did the sickle celled one happen to be the 2nd lowest rbc)? If not what were teh choices? I think im ight have missed that one

that was not the question
the question was "this structure is designed for gas exchange in frogs, but not in snakes"
and the answer was skin

for the question with the ribose adenine and phosphate it had to be nucleotide because it was only ONE nucleotide of RNA not multiple.

and for the question about the lichen and annual herbs, shrubs, etc. it couldnt have been lichen because they asked for PLANT SPECIES (got that one wrong too)
