which animal is a reptile ?

turtle is the answer

Well, doesn't the formation via a hotspot indicate that the island was formed in an isolated environment? That logic would contribute to a genetic drift/founder effect.

i also put hot spot because rain/dry spot for flies could create speciation based on environmental differences.
and its RNA for the other ribose one because DNA never contains ribose sugar. although 1 nucleotide varies (Uracil) the others nucleotides don't change. I still think that RNA is the better answer.

^^^
That's what I am talking about thevidrohi! So you put that down too?

is the hot spot thing referring to something about it forming out of the earth's mantle?

in response to thisguyhere

hot spot not equal to founder/genetic drift.
the island is in the middle of the ocean. it takes HUMANS five hours from california to fly to hawaii. do you think flies can fly at 400 mph+ (speed of the plane) and reach hawaii and manage to be colonize the islands. well if you do then i'm obviously wrong.

and yes hot spot = magma coming out of mantle into ocean

godfather 1: but there's a problem with that.
it cannot be a complete RNA strand because the described thing is just the base unit of an RNA strand
the definition of a nucleotide is "any of several compounds that consist of a ribose or deoxyribose sugar joined to a purine or pyrimidine base and to a phosphate group and that are the basic structural units of RNA and DNA"
this can be found here nucleotide - Definitions from Dictionary.com

i agree with godfather ('cause that was my reasoning LOL). answer choice A and D (which were about the volcano and hotspot, respectively), were pretty similiar AND they both create isolated situations. ..so i put weather. yeappp.

as for the last couple of questions on M, it wasn't the blood or the fruit acids thing. it was the experiment on dialysis bag. the questions were about hte movement of sugar, the movement of water, etcetc.

and yeha, pwnage is right about the nucleotide.

yea even though i answered nucleotide, i thought the question was vague and easily misleading

aww damn i think i got this one wrong yea lol. cuz what i described is only a section of RNA, the components that build RNA, which is nucleotides lol. gggg

starch diffused out i think, there was osmosis occuring. i think those are the only answers for the dialysis bag.

for one dialysis one, i put that osmosis occurred because the bag's volume increased and that by 24 hrs, it was isotonic. did the sugar stop diffusing by 24 hrs as well?

lichen grows on rocks doesn't it?

yeah sugar stopped diffusing also

yes what you said is correct.

How much would about 8 wrong get you

lichens can grow on rocks.
