yeah fortify, i agree, i put one only (the odd shaped cells). i forgot why i didnt choose the one where the rbc's were low...can anyone give reasons why the RBCs low count affects it.

No its nucleotide for sure

its odd shaped cell and 5 - for reasoning see the first 4 pages of the thread.

The question said in which sample would the blood be least effective in getting oxygen. In 1 the the cells get the least oxygen. There are little blood cells in sample 5 but they still carry the same amount of blood as a normal cell.

what part of the core of the test was the blood diagram? was it near the end?

btw asc3nd I think you had another little typo and to clarify game=4 not 8

correct me if im wrong tho

nd as for the RBC i agree with Fortify and thats also what I put but we may be analyzing just a bit too much if the question is what I remember it to be which was just which persons has low oxygen affinity or something in that line....

nd as this question was 57-60 I think. The last few questions of the core of the sat 2 bio test.

So what do you guys think a raw score of 65 will get ya?

hey. i have a question. i took this test as a freshman because my honors bio teacher told me it would be a good idea to expose myself to the test and then retake after AP Bio. i thought i was done for going into the test, but it wasn't too bad. still, there's always this lingering feeling of doubt, that i won't get a good score. i'm pretty confident, but would someone please convince me that i should not cancel my score? i don't want a bad score to be seen or judged by the colleges that i get into. i hear that colleges take your top two or three scores (varies differently with each type of school), but do they really disregard all other scores? i feel like i have gained a better understanding of what i would need to do if i were to retake it later. knowing my score would not, in my opinion, impact how i study or feel going into a future SAT II Bio test. so, once again, what are the benefits and consequences of cancelling my score? i would appreciate any advice. thanks

plus, how do you think the scoring will go? what would get you a 700+? i don't really have the patience to go through this thread and search for the answer, if it even exists on this thread. a short answer would be great.

My friend did the same thing. She took SAT Subject Biology, after honors biology, and then after AP Biology. She got a 760-E before AP biology, and 790-M after AP biology.

Personally I don't think it makes much of a difference, if you retake it colleges it will probably only care about the higher score.

err the scoring..

i think 700+ is about 70 for raw score. a little less...?

65 is 740 according to my kaplan book

i just don't want to risk it. but then again, i wouldn't have a standard for comparison to truly judge my current ability on the test. how does it look to retake an SAT II?

it doesn't look bad. sometimes retaking shows you are committed to succeeding. but only you know how well you did. so ..only you can decide whether or not you should cancel

colleges will see when you took the test compared to when you took certain courses; i don't think it'd look bad if you kept your score now and then retook after AP bio

you should probably not cancel it. B/c it's your first time. And you might've done better than you thought you did. Plus, after you take Bio Ap and retake SAT II bio, you'll probably do better. So just keep it. <--in my opinion

its your choice, but usually canceling is not the way to go. I think canceling is more for the people that go into the test and realize that they are in danger gettin in the 500s.

but if you are taking it a second time Im pretty sure most college will give you the benefit of the doubt and say he may not be a good time test taker or it was a bad day for him as long as your second score is higher but some degree than the previous...but if its lower then your in trouble

btw this is all my opinion of a fellow high schooler not some profesional counselor or nething...

it all depends on whether you think you did poorly or potentially ok....you may end up with a decent score that you can either keep or build on for ap--if you get a 700 now and a 770 after ap it probably looks great

i skipped 5 and prob got 5-10 rong...what would be my score?

Fort, why is #38 herbs?

Is it because lichens would only apply in the presence of rocks?

i think your looking at low 700s...

but seriously everyones been saying this test has been so easy but seriously I disagree...

I consider myself decent at biology. I have an A in ap and everything and the grade isnt really inflated; class average 88-90ish
o nd 88-90ish is pretty low since i go to a one of those highschools where you have to take a test to get into.

and I thought the questions were either stupidly obvious or ridiculously misleading/tricky/hard.

nd Im actually thinking curve may range within 3-5 instead of 2-3 like most people are saying.
