I’ve missed 4 now…ughhh

For that system of equation question, that asked what could be the value of A to make it infinite, or something along those lings, I put 32 as the answer… can someone tell me if thiswas right?

I don’t remember the exact answer but here’s the logic.

They gave you an equation, like 2X + Y= 8
In the next equation, they gave you different value for x and y, however both sides were just multiplied by the same number, so it would like like 3(2X+Y)=3(8)
Then all you had to do was figure out what number would make the equation end up creating the same line as the first equation, so that any point on that line is an acceptable value.

make the equation have infinite solutions:
2x-y=8
6x-3y=4a

so the left is multiplied by 3 so you need to get 4a=24
a = 6

What was the answer to the question where it said X^2 + mx +9=0
a. 3
b.-3
c.6
d.-6
e.9
Can you explain it to me!!

Also, wut wuz the maxium profit the person can make by selling the long sleeves and short sleeves?

Also, the two equations, the lines intersected only rite??
ax-by=c
ax+by=c

Thomasjohn, The first question of yours is answered a bit earlier

For the maximum profit, for every the time it took for 2 long= the time for 3 short. However 2 long was more profitable than 3 short, so the answer was the one that was like 540. Cant remember it too well.

For the two equations, when you put them in slope-intercept form you get one with a positive slope and one with a negative slope, so there’s an intersection only.

I did horrendous on the math… how did you do the two triangles that involved Law of Sines? >.>

I’m pretty sure I missed about 5-6. What should that get me?

1/2xysin70
1/2xysin110
sin70 and sin 110 are equal
so their areas are =

you really think the curve will be that highh!?
YAY

to figure out your score you multiply the # you got right by 36 and divide by how ever many questions there were.

so if you said you missed 5 to 6 you would have 55 x 36 = 1980/60 = 33 ish…

What should you get if you missed 4 and if you missed 5?

Oh my god this is still going on?

You people can’t be for real. Seriously, math scores get released in like two days. Just chill and wait. If you did bad you can just retake the stupid test.

Prism, zekiye just posted the “formula” to get the score…

Has a list been put together yet?..
