June 2009 ACT Math Discussion

Matok you’re right on both accounts.

Seq was +1.25 and ended up being… I don’t rmr.

what was that answer of the square (symetary) one. I put it was 4. I drew lines on it , and stuff. I thought it was 4. I guesses because I had LESS than 2 freeking mins left. The proctor was sort of an ahole

The arithmetic sequence i know the difference between the numbers was 1.25. The sixth number was 8, asked for the sum of the first four numbers. I don’t remember the answer and don’t feel like redoing the work :)

The sequence was 14.50 I think?

i was running out of time but i knew it was a .25 difference so i guessed 21.25

**** ya the midpoint is 5

^really?! YES!

i also got 14.5

14.5 sounds right.

oh shnap ■■■

wait what was the question for 14.5?

the 14.5 answer was related to the question that asked for the first four terms of the arithmetic series given as so: 6th term is 8, 10th term is 13. something like that.

ohhhhh right thanks.

did anyone think the june ACT math was a bit harder than the other ones?

that 42degree pie chart hm

help me out on these…
56xy-8xy something???
was something 14%
-6+|-2+8| or something?
72 combinations of food
plug in for that f(x) was like 8(x)^2

overtime $322.50

I still dont understand y lines of sym was 8

Can someone explain? I put 16

i either put 72 or 12 for that one…i couldn’t think straight

it’s kinda hard to explain without the diagram ^

If you went around the circle drawing lines of symmetry, there were 8 distinct ones. If, however, you continued drawing past 8, you would write over the original 8.

Yeah how that 8 for the line of symetary. I drew 4 lines on the square. I thought It was 4. its bs it was 8.
