yea I agree with Keasby nights too. The Calcium lab thing confused me, but eveything else was very easy, and E was extremely simple except for like 1 question

did the hormone in the calcium lab increase or decrease levels of calcium in blood?

Ouch, can’t say, there’s an embargo.

I don’t think we can answer that…

Embargo has been lifted!

But seriously…how much do these scores count???

Wait…can we actually ask SPECIFIC questions now!!! Like, ABOUT the questions?

PTH increases calcium concentration.

Yea PTH increases calcium concentration but according that graph it decreased calcium concentration…that was strange…

I think I did well… but never know

Nope. The graph was saying that in response to a lower level of calcium, PTH concentration increased, thus causing the calcium concentration to increase. You needed a bit of prior knowledge. Remember, PTH concentration was on the Y-axis, meaning it was the dependent variable. (:

I took Molecular, what do you think how many wrongs am I allowed ???

yeah that threw me off so bad, but if i put that it decreases it is that correct?

^Meadow, how did you do?

Yea, I know that…okay, so did any question explicitly state what is the effect of PTH on calcium levels?

so the two questions about PTH and calcium - first was decrease, second was increase

I agree with all the previous posts concerning the calcium & PTH lab. I understood the 3rd question but guessed on the first two for that problem set.
Also, there were some terms in the second matching set concerning plants that I’ve never learned before and had to infer their meanings.

personally i didnt take too much trouble with the calcium lab because so far i know that i skipped one and got one wrong and yeah the graph showed a driect relatioship between clalcium and PTH

All of the matching sets were extremely easy. I believe the plant one went “photosynthesis, phototaxis, photoperiod, phototropism, photoperiod”. Photorespiration was not used.

For those who took Ecology - could we discuss tapeworms/phloem (xylem?)/the first two branching diagram questions?
