June 2010 Math

I think it was C. Whichever one was x + 1/y.

I chose D…

does anyone know which were the experimental questions?

@NewAccount was choice D x + 1/y?

about that 9970 one … why does everyone say its hard… all you do is go down from 9999… it takes like 2 seconds…
like …
9999 add 36…
then we know it’s not in the 999-'s
so go 998- and keep going down … the one in may was a harder counting one… but i dunno if u guys took may or not … anyhow im more worried about the cr which im actually bad at naturally and this was even harder than usual

@Aaron2011 that’s what I got cuz I remember x was the greater number and y was a decimal b/w 0 and 1

Did anyone have a question that had 2 circles which overlapped?
The question asked you to find the area of the region marked II. Was the answer 7pi?

or was this question experimental?

The one with the graph with dots that talked about some kind of power, and you had to point out which were under 0.2…

experimental…

I did the 9970 one this way:

Start with two 9’s. That equals 18, so far so good. Add another 9, but nope thats 27; cut it down to 7 to get 25, and add a 0 for the last digit.

Done.

I left like 10 blank…im feeling like ****t right about now.

Don’t feel bad.

I had that same feeling a month ago, yet I worked at it and today I answered all of the questions and missed 1 grid in and 1-2 MC…just takes a little work!!!

Edit:

I did the 9970 one this way:

Start with two 9’s. That equals 18, so far so good. Add another 9, but nope thats 27; cut it down to 7 to get 25, and add a 0 for the last digit.

Done.

===============

I did the same thing…usually I waste so much time on these types of questions.

YO WHAT WAS THE ANSWER TO THE LAST QUESTION OF ONE OF THE SECTIONS. it was a system of equations and you had to find k so that (x.y) had infinite solutions. i just solved the system to find k, and it was 104

Yeah the X and Y question was C.

How many you guys leave blank in total on the math section? I left around 10.

Yeah the 9970 was probably the easiest question on the test guys…

section 6 or 5

Yo dood it was 26 x 4 = 104 ur right

consolidated list plz… and ill be on l8ter … sat’s aren’t everything, and talking about answers won’t help me (especially if i find something i got wrong ) later and hope u did well on ur sat’s people

Yeah I had the experimental and a regular math section back-to-back, so it went like: break, math, math, break.

As a result, they are running together and I can’t remember which questions were on which test. Was the [n(n+1)]/2 on the experimental or a regular?

I’m a bit nervous about the math; I omitted one, guessed wrongly on one, and made a stupid mistake on a third. Additionally, there were 3-4 more that I wasn’t sure about (though I think a couple were experimental). Hoping for >700 though, I just need a little improvement so I can get a 2150 or so.

a-b= 0 anyone?
