June 2010: World History

If I remember correctly, Northern Italy includes Florence and Venice.

^Two of the most vibrant commercial centers of the time.

Crap, I think I omitted like 13 or 14 and got five wrong. No chance of an 800, even though the test was very difficult? :-(

Hey guys, I missed about 6, judging by this thread, and skipped 1 or 2 I don’t really remember. Do you guys think that I could still get a 800, taking into account that I may have gotten just a few more wrong?

^It’s fully possible, unless you got more than 10 wrong that you don’t know about!

Yes, if that’s the case you most likely got an 800. The WH curve is already very lenient. Some of us are just hoping that that leniency is extended since this particular test was so difficult…

This thread is making me miserable. :stuck_out_tongue:
I’m going to just put it out of my mind. No point in obsessing over how well I did for another few weeks. We’ll just see when the scores come out.

Haha I don’t think I got 10 more wrong, but who knows. I didn’t think I would’ve even gotten 6 wrong when I stepped out of the testing room. I hope the curve is a little better, since I thought this exam was really difficult. But I think I’ll just go relax for the next few weeks and hope for the best :D

Hi,
I pretty much pored over this thread and I’m hoping to find a few more answers.
What was the dominant religion in 1300 ce?
What was the answer for the second question about passage on the Muslims tolerating the Jews and Christians? The question had something to do with what does the following imply and the quote was something about how Muslims will expel people of the book from the land if the people threaten Muslim security. Was it that the Muslims and others lived in an uneasy peace or that the people of the book were planning to take over power?

And I know this people have been discussing this, but could it be possible to get an 800 with 11-15ish wrong?

The one with 1300 CE was Islam I think.

As for the Christians and Jews, it was that there were tensions (“uneasy peace”) between “peoples of the book” and Muslims.

Crap guys, help. I omitted like 13 and got maybe 4 wrong. According to the grading scale in my collegeboard book, that would be something like a 790. Is that true? Crap, I’m starting to panic. I think I omitted too many because people led me to believe I could omit that many, as well as my collegeboard book. O.O But the scale changes from test to test, right…?

That seems about right, but I think we can agree that this test was harder than the collegeboard test, so maybe the curve will be able to pull you through to the 800.

Wait so can someone tell me an approximation of how many I can get wrong with no omits to get an 800?

Esp because the collegeboard book seemed to say (if i remember correctly) that getting a raw score of about 75 was still an 800…?

You can get like 13/14 wrong to get a 800 according to the scale in the collegeboard book.

Ohhh thanks Tinks800. Oh man, I think this test is going to ruin my chances of getting an 800…I really think it was a lot harder than the AP. :(

not getting an 800 isn’t the end of the world

^agreed. but an 800 makes you feel happy :)

Ha, what world do you live in!

How many could you omit and still get an 800?
