June 2012 World History SAT II

That choice had tomatos with it, right?

@horusb: I think it’s Africans, peninsulares were a minority in the Latin American colonies and the slaves constantly had to be replaced because of high mortality rates.

@storyweaver Yes, it was tomatoes and sweet potatoes, because those were New World foods (in the Americas) and Marco never visited that region.

@ thelemon

Omg. That thread is amazing! I can’t believe that the CB reuses questions xD.

im fairly certain it was africans. it involved the african slave trade… what were the options for the punic wars question?

@horus I know! I was researching CC all day yesterday looking for previous test questions, but I only found this little gem after the test today. -___- But at least it’s useful now lol :P

what is the one with alphabets and hieroglyphics

@ lamlam

Alphabets required fewer symbols?

^^^ I got that for alphabet as well. What about the first question on the test, women’s role in hunter-gatherer societies?

@lamlam
I put alphabet had fewer stuffs to memorize

Haha wow it looks like they got the exact same test we did. o_o

@ thelemon
I put A. I don’t remember the choice exactly but it was something that they had similar responsibilities.

Yep! I could only find one difference, they had a question about who Indira Gandhi’s relative was, and it was Nehru. I wish we had that one today, though, he was her father and since it’s my history I know all about it.

@thelemon
It was that it was equal in importance although their primary role differed (not verbatm, but the feeling of hte answer)

isnt it because there were less symbols

The question about Lao Tzu?

He was Daoist so I put the one that said “no action” or something along those lines.

@thelemonisinplay They had important roles, but different roles compared to men, or something like that.

Do you guys think the curve is going to go up?

@thelemonisinplay: That’s crazy though, you could’ve gotten all the answers just from looking at that thread. Oh collegeboard xD

@horusb: Yep, I got the “no action” quote too.

@horus Thanks. What about question 90 (haha I actually remember the number on the test) which was about who initially supported the Indian independence movement against the British? I was confused because of “initially” because to me it seemed to imply that later on they changed their mind… Or maybe I was just overthinking. Either way, I left that one blank. Anyone?

what is THE MAXIMUM you can get wrong for the test
