June 6 2009 SAT I Thread

I finished this morning~~ Feeling pretty good about it…but sadly i left one vocab question blank after filling out the RIGHT answer and then erasing it… T_T

^ i feel ya  i changed two sentence completion answers… turns out my first choices were right.

^ Yeah I think something similar happened to me. Feeling really unsure about how it went. Could go either way…

What did people think of the math sections?

I changed my answers, realized the original ones were right and changed them back. I’m worried about incomplete erasures the grading machine might pick up. I had a crappy eraser I suppose. When’s the embargo usually lifted? After the GMT - 12 country is finished with the test?
Are we allowed to talk about how we felt about the test?

I think so, as long as you don’t give away any questions or parts of questions

but isn’t it OK to discuss since they are TAKING THE TEST w/o electronic devices…?

argh,ok. better safe than sorry. lets discuss the Qs later on.

I am really excited .I cant even imagine what my score would be.CR was pretty decent ,I expected at least one impossible passage .Some SCs were tricky ,though :)

yeah SC’s were tricky.
Math wasnt too bad…neither was writing…but one section in the CR was diabolical.I completely lost concentration in that

I know what section you are talking about  It wasnt that bad, maybe I was baffled by the last 4-5 questions of that section, hopefully 2-3 of them are correct ;)

yeah i left around 4 questions in that section.Damn.
I didnt finish my essay either…but it was my first attempt at the SAT so hopefully i’ll learn to manage time by October

SOO MUCH BETTER THAN MARCH!, imo.

math was a joke (like usual except more)
writing was great

i had an experimental reading section.
SCs were fine, but i always trip up on long passages… still hoping 750+ ;(

This month’s SAT was definitely better than the one in march. The writing portion was a godsend, I think I might have gotten an 800 if my essay is given an 11 or even a 10 maybe.

I’m kind of dissapointed that I had no idea how to do this one question on the math portion, although I’m hoping that the section was experimental.

Reading was incredibly easy compared to some of the passages in the blue book, and I thought the sentence completion questions had pretty basic vocabulary

I’m just hoping I didn’t make ■■■■■■■■ mistakes :(

Math wasn’t too bad (i know i made 1 mistake though because i read the problem incorrectly)

writing was easier than may but, the experimental writing was impossible (thankfully experimental)

i thought the reading was harder than march. although it was because my proctor sucked and made the place 40 degrees (i was wearing layers and was freezing)

I really hope the 2nd grid-in portion of math was the experimental. I left most of the grid-ins blank b/c I ran out of time. It’ll hurt even more because every other math section was a breeze for me.

Not bad…my essay was a little short though.

yea it was definitely easier than march… but still some of the reading passages were hard and i’m ****ed i got an easy math question wrong -_-

I only had 1 grid-in for math had to leave 3 “blanks(wrote a random #)”, since I didn’t pay attention to the time. :(

Wait if I got two writing sections in a row, were one of them experimentals?

I think i only missed 1 or 2 grid-ins. I found those to be rather easy… for the most part.
