does anyone remember LCD question?

Okay I am new here. Is this really true that they curve the ACT?

I am so disappointed this test was so much harder than the earlier ones my daughter took and all the Real ACT/ACT online test.

My daughter had to have her algebra repaired due to a poor Algebra 2 Course in her HS which cost me quite a lot to get her up to speed in order to get a the higher Bright Future award here in Florida. She got her score up using the online ACT test 8 more points regularly and said the second half of this she ran out of time and was very difficult. She worked so hard for months and finally become confident.

Also c = 1 on the polynomial 2x^3 + 2x^2 - 2cx + 4?
LCD was 17^2 * 23^3 * 61 ^2

Oh yeah I got $315. All you had to do was divide 315 by 5 then subtract that from the number of guests then multiply that by 2 and then add them together and you get $489.

what was the 85th term…I put 7. Was that right?

scohajo, do you remember which choice was c=1?

What choice was 1 for the 3rd degree polynomial? Was it J?

I thought it went:

F -4
G -2
H 0
J 1
K 7

^^^ the 85th term was the first one in that sequence since 85/3 had 1 as a remainder. i think it was 5?

This is why my kid switched from the SAT. She found the ACT Math less tricky.

To think colleges, at one time, never relied on any of these tests and how people get so into them now.

I got 5 too. I literally sat there writing it out until I got to 85. Took 30 seconds.

the 85th term was 5

85/3=28.333… so it had to be the middle term

What is the 85th term in this sequence ( 385 repeating) ?
85/3 is 28.333. So multiply 28 by 3 and you get 5 as the 84th term. The 85th term would be the first number in the pattern

Please help me on the one where there were a lot of lines making triangles with a lot of midpoints. It wanted which statement was right concerning slope.

Anyone remember?

It was D. The outer sides were congruent

Did the 85th term problem involve .835 , .385, or. 538? I can’t remember

@mathisfun i put the slope of MN is always the same as OP. i think its right

vt, was that about my question?

@VT i thought it was 5XX

Wasn’t choice B ASA for the congruent question?
