Hi! I wanted to ask if I took the SSAT in June 2016, then will I be able to use the scores for an application for next year, as an 9th grader. I’m going to 8th grade next year. I just wanted to make sure, because I saw a lot of different answers. Some say that you can’t, but some say that you definitely can, because I don’t want to take the SSAT again, and I can’t take it again.
I believe that Mr.Wendal gave good information about this on another thread:
I checked a few schools’ websites (the keyword here being “few”–there are so many more schools to explore):
-Andover, Exeter and Deerfield all specifically say that they do NOT accept June scores.
-Lawrenceville, Choate and the Webb Schools say that all testing must be from the current school year.
-Hotchkiss and Groton say that they prefer the November and December test dates but January is acceptable for Groton.
-Hill says to please register for October, November, December or January but permission may be granted for the February test.
-Peddie says the test is offered in October, November, December and January (which leads one to believe these are the only dates they accept, but maybe I assume too much here)
-NMH and Suffield only specify which tests are required/accepted but are silent on which test dates they accept (as far as I can tell).
If you have strong extenuating circumstances why you can’t take the test again you probably should specifically check with each school where you want to apply to see if they will accept your June score. If you absolutely can’t take the test again and there are schools that are strict about not accepting your June scores then it looks like you will have another factor that will help you narrow down your list of schools where you will submit applications. Remember that there are many, many good schools out there!
@AppleNotFar Thx!
@AppleNotFar Can you link me the Thread where Mr.Wendal gave the info?

Good luck to you!!
Why you can’t take it again?
Because of special circumstances. I don’t really want to tell you because it is private.
