Junior visiting

First post! I have been reading this page for years. Tulane is the only school I have ever wanted to go, and it's so weird that you all know that now haha
I'm now a junior in high school, and as my senior year comes closer and closer, I am getting more excited and anxious about visiting and applying. I plan to apply Early Action, and for my Why Tulane? essay I'd like to have some first-hand basis of the school to write about.

So when should I visit? I want to avoid tourist times for the city, and get a real feel of the school. Can anyone offer a list of some things you would do in NOLA to show its true character (assuming I go for the weekend + 1 or 2 weekdays)? Has anyone had any experiences with the daily 9AM/2PM campus tours?
I appreciate it

I visited in late November, and I’d imagine that any time in October-November, sans Halloween weekend due to Voodoo Fest and its craziness, would be a good time to go since the weather’s usually nice then. I went on the 2 PM tour, though I wish I would’ve done the 9 AM since that seems like more students would’ve been around at that time.
