Yep. I’m taking US History too, and maybe chemistry. If not, then idk what else to take I’m trying to be competitive as possible for the schools I’m applying to.

Even though you didn’t ask me, I’m taking ACT in April and Math II and physics

@Marine: same here ! i want to take 3 SAT IIs so i look a little more competitive
@CPU: haha its all good ! i wanted to take physics but i dont know… im taking regents physics now so i dont think we’ve covered everything that’ll be on the exam. and as for Math II … just no. lmao not for me.

I wanted to take the Latin exam. but then i took a practice test and was like forget it.

Marine: hope you are okay!!

I’m taking the SAT tomorrow too ugh. Not looking forward to it…

I’m planning on taking Chem and Bio SAT subject tests in June. And then my school requires me to take the ACT since the state mandates it even though I pretty much got my target score on the SAT I. It’s more of a little hassle than a big one though; more of an annoyance since it just means that I’m not done with the standardized tests (excluding subject tests).

Thanks ghuskies!
Good luck on the SAT tomorrow :)

I was gonna take the German subject test, but just looking at the practice test gave me a headache. Ehh. Lol. And our ACT test is state mandated too, Apoc. I’m not really caring about it because unfortunately it doesn’t include the essay :(

Ooh I just found out I can edit my posts on my phone. Lol :)

i really don’t think it’s a good idea to get senioritis as a junior :x junior year is by far the most important year in your high school career. it’s when you can take like unlimited AP classes, when you have to take all your standardized tests, when you have to deal with those 6 ap tests, etc.

just hold on for a little longer. if you apply to a school early (during senior year) and get in, you get over 1 semester to relax. just hang in there =]

im taking ap physics b at my school, which is mainly a junior class, and i’ve heard many people talking about the sat tomorrow. good luck guys

Thanks! I just can’t wait to be done with it. Until next fall that is…

I’m done with subject tests! Good luck to you all!

@ghuskies: good luck !!! and you’re SO lucky that youre done with subject tests!

We’ve all been through junior year… tough it out

Hello everyone. My junior year’s already been tough enough for me. I have ACTs coming up in April, the SAT and AP exam in May, and subject tests in June.

Considering I’m probably taking at least 5 AP courses next year, I wonder if all of this hard work will pay off, especially since college is a lot harder than high school. Oh well, I guess this is just “toughening” me up for the college life & beyond.

F. M. L.

I still have to retake the SAT’s and ACT’s, take the Subject Tests, pay for my 3 AP exams, prep for an IB Exam, and get back to A’s this quarter.

**** I’m screwed.

seeing 4-5 of my friends getting into LA made me motivated again

it’ll be okay. really. i took the sat 3 times my junior year. i did worse the second time than i did the first time because i was just so over testing by then. when i received the worse score the next morning (didn’t bother staying up to see the score because like i said i didn’t really care) i was like, whatever. my parents were not. my mom was like you have to retake it, and i told her no no no and i cried. and then when i finally agreed to take it again, we fought over when to take it; i wanted to take it a month from that date, saying that i would be ready by then. my mom wanted me to take it later, but that date would’ve clashed with the ap tests that i needed to take. at any rate, she finally agreed to let me it take on my choice of day, and so i prepped hard. i looked over 1000 vocab cards. i tried to force myself to take practice tests. on the day of the test, i was not apathetic. and guess what?? i did better!! who woulda guess? anyway, the point of the story is that i totally understand how stressful junior year is and can totally empathize, and also, more importantly, that all your hard work will pay off in the end =]

Adababy- I’m self studying for physics because we won’t get to half of the stuff in honors

Thanks for the motivation
But I think there’s a slight difference between senioritis and junioritis we aren’t giving up or slacking off like seniors with senioritis do, we’re just very anxious!

And congrats on the higher score! I’m just dreading tests. I hate them :(

So excited to apply (mainly to smith :))

I’m excited to apply, too. Seeing my cousins get into UCLA has made me want to apply again. But OOS tuition is a…

Smith…smith…smith…

I say that over and over in my head when I want to give up.

Congrats to your cousins, and yeah, OOS is crazy for publics. Only public that has almost in state tuition for me is UMass, but that starts second year and only IF I stay with that major (systems engineering.) and then the other public I’m applying to is Rutgers. I think that’s it

junior year is crazy!!! volleyball and swimming help me a lot though. this semester is not going well for me…i want to leave this town and move on! i’m tired of it.
